(Clearwisdom.net) The Chenggang Street Neighborhood Committee and the Guojiadian Town authorities of Laozhou City, Shandong Province recently arrested practitioners and ransacked their homes. The arrested and detained practitioners include Teng Yanping, Xu Xiuqin, Zhang, and Li Yufu.

Around 9 o'clock in the morning of July 26, 2008, Ms. Teng Yanping from Zhuwang Village, Chenggang Street, Laizhou City, Shandong Province was just back from visiting her daughter, who lives out of town. Over ten policemen broke into her home, ransacked it and then provided a warrant. Around 1 o'clock that afternoon, the police arrested Ms. Teng and confiscated her Falun Gong books, personal computers, compact discs, lamination machine, and disc burners.

On the evening of July 26, 2008, Ms. Xu Juan from Chenggang Street of Laizhou City went to visit her father, who had just returned home from the hospital. Over ten policemen broke into her father's yard and attempted to take her away. She managed to escape. Many fellow villagers witnessed the whole process.

In mid-July 2008, Ms. Xu Xiuqin from Zhugao Village, Chenggang Street, Laizhou City was arrested.

In July, a female practitioner from Zhuyou Village, Chenggang Street, Laizhou City was arrested. Later she managed to escape. The police then arrested her son, Mr. Zhang.

After 10 o'clock on the evening of July 29, ten government officials including Song Huajun and Liu Jingbing from the National Security Team of Laizhou City, officers from the 610 Office of Laizhou City, together with the Guojiadian Town Police Station and local town authorities broke into Mr. Li Yufu's home in Guanqian Village, and forced him down on the ground, choked him, twisted his arms and handcuffed him. Ms. Li's wife tried to reason with the police and was restrained. She shouted more than ten times, "Don't take my husband." The policemen replied ferociously, "If it were not for your little kid, we would take you as well." Mr. Li Yufu did not have any outerwear or shoes when he was taken away. His wife followed them outside. One of the policemen called the town government requesting four or five additional officers who came and ransacked their home. Mr. Li shouted "Falun Dafa is good." Facing the policemen who ransacked her home, Mr. Li's wife locked the door from the inside, but they broke in through a window and confiscated two personal computers, Falun Gong books and materials, over ten MP3 player units, four satellite TV receiver dishes, and other personal belongings.
