On July 1, 2008, the police in Mancheng County arrested eight Falun Gong practitioners. Ms. Wang Jinling was tortured to death in the county detention center on July 6.

July 15

Mr. Zhang Tao was tortured to death by the CCP. His daughter, Ms. Zhang Jianhui, was sentenced to prison for ten years and is currently held in the Harbin City Women's Prison. His wife, Ms. Yao Caiwei, has been arrested many times, sentenced to forced labor camps twice.

July 17

Using the excuse of the Olympics, Mudanjiang City Police continue to arrest Falun Gong practitioners. Some of them were tortured by the police during interrogations.

July 18

In the notorious Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, Falun Gong practitioners are forced to do slavery work under harmful conditions, and suffer abuses by guards and inmates.

July 19

In Yongnian County, Hebei Province, the police arrested at least 16 Falun Gong practitioners up to July 2, 2008. Among those who were under detention, Ms. Zhang Chunping was inhumane tortured. The police shocked her breast and private body parts with electric batons.

Within 24 hours after the arrest, Ms. Chen Yumei was beaten to death by police on July 4, 2008. In addition, the family has to pay 20,000 yuan medical fee.

July 20

Ms. Mi Xiaozheng has been frequently harassed by the police that try to forced her to renounce Falun Gong. She had been dismissed from college due to her belief. In one of those harassment accidents, she had miscarriage under mental pressure.

Ms. Ha Jingbo and Ms. Jiang Ruoling were arrested for distributing materials exposing the persecution of Falun Gong. In the police station, they were tortured viciously. The police chief even beat them in their sensitive parts of body on purpose.
