(Clearwisdom.net) On May 3, 2008, Zeng Jun, a software engineer, finally got a chance to see the Chinese Spectacular in Cleveland, OH.

Zeng has been in the US for six years and currently lives in Erie, PA. He had been yearning to see the Spectacular live since he watched the 2006 performance on DVD. After the show, he said, "I saw the show on DVD in 2006, and I thought it was excellent. In 2007, I watched it again on NTDTV's live broadcast. I watched the live broadcast again earlier this year. I'd watch it every time it was broadcast, even if it meant I had to get up in the middle of the night. But I always thought the pictures weren't clear enough on TV and there was always something missing. I felt I had to come to see the live performance."

When he learned that Divine Performing Arts was going to perform in Cleveland, Ohio, which is an hour and a half drive from where he lives, he quickly booked a ticket online. "The New York shows were too far for me to drive. Later it was being held in Toronto, but it was still too far for me. I thought about going to see it when it went to Detroit, but six hours drive was still a bit too much. I figured I probably would not get to see it this year. But I didn't give up; I continued to check DPA's touring schedule. On March 3, when I learned that DPA would come to perform in Cleveland, I booked a ticket the same day," said Zeng excitedly.

Zeng talked about his favorite scene in "The Risen Lotus Flower." "I had seen it several times on TV, and I was very touched every time. Watching it live is especially moving."

"Though Falun Gong is being persecuted in China, in the show, it presented Falun Gong practitioners' courage and strength. It is not sad, but inspiring. The scene presented the spiritual transcendence as a result of great compassion and endurance."

"This is the true traditional Chinese culture, a true manifestation of the old saying: 'Neither riches nor honors can lead one astray; neither poverty nor destitution can move one's mind; to steadfastly defy all brute force.' Most people in China act as the occasion dictates. It will bring shame to our nation if the world thinks of us this way."

Zeng thinks the values DPA conveys in the show will make the Chinese people respectable. "People won't respect you just because you hang national flags all over the place. When one firmly insists on his belief in truth and benevolence, even if that means sacrificing oneself for others, one still holds on to his belief. This is the right value we should have."

Zeng hopes more Chinese people can see this show, "After watching it, your soul will be thoroughly purified."

On the other side of the theater, Shen Ke, a man who came to the US almost 20 years ago and currently works at the National City Bank, said, "I wanted to hear a different message and see a different show. The scenes in the show are amazing. I feel the true Chinese culture and the power from the show."
