(Clearwisdom.net) Nine years ago in China, facing unfair treatment, tens of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners arrived at the central government compound in Beijing to hold a peaceful appeal and ask the related government departments for fair treatment. Afterwards, the CCP launched a full-scale persecution of Falun Gong, which has now lasted for nine years.
On April 25, 2008, Dutch Falun Gong practitioners gathered at the Chinese Embassy in Holland to protest the nine-year-long persecution. A police officer on duty there said, "Although the Chinese Ambassador is not willing to hear any protest, people in Holland have the freedom of speech and protest."
The practitioners demonstrated the five Falun Gong exercises along with gentle music, presented pictures and other materials to passersby, to introduce the spread of Falun Gong around the world, and told people about the cruel persecution of Falun Gong, in particular the atrocity of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners by the CCP for profit. Passersby were attracted by the activity and stopped to watch.Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Houben said, "Although the Chinese government promised to improve human rights conditions when applying to host the Olympic Games, it did nothing actually. Contrarily, it is confirmed that from the beginning of this year, the persecution against Falun Gong has become even more severe. In fact, human rights conditions in China are in reverse."
Mr. Hu also said, "During the past nine years, we have continuously complied with the principle of Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance. We did not and will never use any violence or similar ways to express our protest. We are using peaceful methods to stop the persecution."
