The Brief Summaries of Death Cases Present Grim Evidence of Stepped Up Persecution of Falun Gong as Chinese Communists "Prepare" for the Olympics.

CCP authorities in Liaoning Province launched another round of persecution against Falun Gong. Thirteen practitioners were arrested in Huludao City at the end of February. The police also confiscated their computers, printers, TVs and satellite receivers.

Work units in Beijing have been asked to search for "key persons" who might be disruptive, in order to maintain "social stability" and "eliminate unstable social elements," leading up to the Olympics. This notice includes Falun Gong practitioners. Each work unit's administrator has been ordered to aggressively search, monitor and control employees.

Parents are separated from their families and children without any legal procedures, trial or known sentence. Their families are not allowed any contact to determine their condition.

The arrest of Mr. Bai Shaohua and an associate on February 20, 2008 is just the latest in a history of persecution of he and his family.

In December, 2007 Ms. Ding Fengge was arrested and detained at Beihuam Detention Center where she was tortured with an electric baton.

On January 12, 2008 she was taken to Puyang City Forensic Hospital and five hours later taken to the Henan Province Women's Forced Labor Camp. Her family was disturbed by unofficial reports that she was disabled and that one of her kidneys had been removed. Despite repeated attempts, her family has been refused the right to see her and her current condition is unknown.
