(Clearwisdom.net) From April 2 to April 5, 2008, the Divine Performing Arts presented five showings of the Chinese Spectacular in Sydney. People from all walks of life praised the performance highly. Afterward, many shared their feelings about what they saw.

Andrew Fraser, Deputy Chairman of the New South Wales National Party, said that not only local Chinese, but all Australians should see the show, "The whole performance is so wonderful. The performers are outstanding, and the inner meaning of the show is really marvelous."

Fraser also said that there was a wonderful interaction between performers and audience and he felt as if he was part of the performance. He also mentioned that the performances about Falun Gong allowed people to assess the value of freedom, "The information about Falun Gong shows us the situation in China, which has such an unreasonable government that could suppresses such a group, and reminds us as Australians to really enjoy our freedom."

Win Gaffney, Deputy Mayor of Lane Cove

Win Gaffney, Deputy Mayor of Lane Cove, said after the performance, "It was so gorgeous. This is the most spectacular show I have ever seen. I feel that I understand traditional Chinese culture now. I enjoyed all the performances. I cannot find any words to describe my feelings; it was just so spectacular!" Ms. Gaffney also said that she could hardly wait to see next year's performance and that she would recommend the show to her friends.

Penrith Congressman Kevin Crameri

Penrith Congressman Kevin Crameri attended the third performance with his family. He said, "The performance was so wonderful! I enjoyed every minute of it. In China there is no freedom and a performance as good as this is not allowed to be shown there. That is really not a good system."

Blacktown has the largest population in Sydney. City representative Leighton Ferrell said that he found the performance to be truly spectacular, "It was a wonderful performance with great performers, singers, and beautiful costumes. It revealed Chinese traditions and performing arts in a wonderful way. Those classic Chinese dances were so beautiful."

Dr. Sev Ozdowski was the Special Commissioner for Human Rights in Australia between 2000 and 2005. He said that it was a marvelous experience to see such a performance as the Spectacular. He said, "This year's performance is different from last year's, with different dances and brand new backdrops. I hope that my friends can see it."

Joseph Shalemen is an executive board member of a health products company. He had high praise for the performance, commenting, "The show is outstandingly beautiful. I was moved by each number on the program, especially the soprano. The dance about the persecution of Falun Gong moved me the most."

IGA director Touli Chrissis was impressed with the performance. He said, "I very much enjoyed the performance. It was so beautiful!" Touli thought that the message of the Spectacular was to encourage people to respect and be tolerant of others.

Finance surveyor Mary Shalala said after the performance on April 3, "It was so marvelous, so beautiful. It was perfect! I was astonished by the seamless precision in the dancing. The movements were so smooth, like moving clouds and water. They executed highly difficult movements so easily. The performance is so calming. I am moved from the depths of my soul."

Lawyer Angela Mary said after she saw the show, "I have a very, very deep impression of tonight's performance. This is the first time for me to experience Chinese culture. I have never seen it before. I think that the Chinese community should welcome the performance and feel proud of it." Angela said that the dance "The Power of Awareness" moved her very much and she cried during the whole performance. "When I saw the mother and the daughter open up the banner with the words, 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance,' tears streamed down my face. Especially when people stood up to protect freedom of conscience, to stand up against evil, and to support justice. Such power is limitless."

Ms. Jiang traveled from Beijing and arrived in Sydney on April 4. She was fortunate to catch the last performance of the Spectacular in Sydney. She said, "I felt it was very well done and moving. I've always believed Chinese culture to be very ancient and profound. If our generation or our children's generation can experience more traditional Chinese culture, we could continue the development of Chinese culture from its roots--that would be really nice."

Mike is a 19-year-old college student in Australia from China. He said after the performance that his favorite piece was the dance "Nymphs of the Sea." He also said that when he saw "The Loyalty of Yue Fei," he could really feel the sense of loyalty and piety in the dance.

Mike said that the performance showed him how to behave: "Watching 'The Risen Lotus Flower' and 'The Power of Awareness' showed me how great Falun Gong practitioners are. I feel that I should learn to distinguish between right and wrong. Everybody has their own principles they use to guide their behavior, but Dafa disciples set a good example for us."
