1. [Yidu City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xiang Dongqin Taken into Custody
Ms. Xiang Dongqin, a practitioner in Honghuatao Town, Yidu City, used paper currency with "Falun Dafa is great" written on it to buy groceries at a farm market in Yidu City. She was turned in to the authorities. Officers of the Lucheng police station took her into custody. Ms. Xiang is being held at the Yidu City Detention Center.
In 2000, Ms. Xiang was taken to Shayang Forced Labor Camp for clarifying the truth. She was held there for a year and was severely abused. Her husband is handicapped and they have a hard time making a living.

2. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Mr. Lu Qingshan and Ms. Sun Yue's Home Searched
At around 8:00 p.m. on March 3, 2008, police officers broke into the home of Mr. Lu Qingshan and Ms. Sun Yue while the two were away. The officers took Falun Dafa books and portraits of the founder of Falun Gong along with three cellular phones and a satellite television receiver. It was reported that the police subsequently harassed Mr. Ma Jingzhi at his home.

3. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Ms. Su Jixiang and Ms. Liu Zhumei Taken into Custody
On March 1, 2008, Ms. Su Jixiang and Ms. Liu Zhumei, practitioners in Yishui County, were taken into custody in Yiyuan County by officers of the domestic security division, the police department and the county 610 Office. Ms. Su has been deprived of sleep for four days and nights. On March 3, the police searched the homes of Ms. Su and Ms. Liu. The officers took a computer that Ms. Liu's son had borrowed from someone else. The officers borrowed a ladder, climbed into Ms. Su's home, and ransacked the place. No one from Ms. Liu's family was present.

On March 2, 2008, officers from the National State Security Division and the Jilin Province Police Department, in a joint campaign with officers of the Fusong County Domestic Security Division and the Forestry Police Department in Shuihe Town, broke into Mr. Dou Guangwu and Ms. He Xiaofeng's home. It has been confirmed that the police took Mr. Dou Guangwu, Ms. He Xiaofeng, Mr. Chen Shude, Ms. Jiang Jingyuan, and two other practitioners into custody.

7. [Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Haiyan Taken to Zhangjiagou Detention Center in Longkou City
Ms. Liu Haiyan, in her 40s, is a safe keeper at the Longkou Mining Affairs Department in Shandong Province. She was taken to a brainwashing center operated by the Longkou City 610 Office in the Xiadingjia area in Longkou City because she was reported for clarifying the truth. She was later taken to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp for brainwashing and was tortured. As result, her husband divorced her and she became mentally impaired. Her family took her to Laiyang Psychiatric Hospital for treatment. No improvement was seen in her condition. Fellow practitioners helped her to study the Fa and practice the Falun Gong exercises, and her mental health was restored.
To validate the greatness of Falun Dafa, Ms. Liu started telling everyone how she benefited from Falun Dafa and how cruel the persecution has been under the Communist regime. She wrote on walls: "Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance is great! Falun Dafa is the righteous way! The Chinese Communist Party is to be eliminated by Heaven! Withdraw from the Party to secure a safe future." On February 25, 2008, she was taken into custody by Longkou Police Department officers while she was writing on a wall. Ms. Liu was taken to the Zhangjiagou Detention Center for custody in Longkou City.

8. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Baiqi Town Police Station Harasses Practitioners
At around 9:00 a.m. on February 29, 2008, Fu Wenzhong (male), director of the Baiqi Town Poilce Station in Shulan City and two other officers broke into Mr. Wang Zhenzhong's home without presenting any identification or legal papers. The officers ransacked Mr. Wang's home and confiscated a portrait of the founder of Falun Gong, a copy of Zhuan Falun, recent articles published by Mr. Li Hongzhi, an MP3 player, and over 80 yuan in cash. Mr. Wang was forcibly taken to a police vehicle and beaten by the three officers. When two of the officers went to search his mother's home, Mr. Wang managed to escape.
It has been learned that the same group of officers harassed Ms. Jiang Yihong at her home on February 28, 2008.

Prior to Chinese New Year's Day (February 7, 2008), Ms. Xie Chenghui, a nurse who works at Jinan City No. 1 Hospital, was taken into custody by the Licheng 610 Office. Her home was searched. She was fined a significant amount of money. Hospital officials have prohibited her from leaving the hospital, forcing her to attend brainwashing sessions.
11. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Additional Information on Ms. Jiang Fengqin's Being Taken into Custody
Ms. Jiang Fengqin lives in No. 4 Ethylene District in the Wolitun area, Longfeng District, Daqing City. At around 9:00 p.m. on March 4, 2008, officers from the Daqing Police Department took Ms. Jiang into custody at her home. The officers confiscated four or five bags of truth clarification materials, DVDs, Falun Dafa books, and over 10,000 yuan in cash. Ms. Jiang is being held at the Wolitun Police Department in Longfeng District, Daqing City. Ms. Zhao Yumei and another practitioner, Mr. Sun, in his 50s, who lives at Wolitun, were also taken into custody at the same time.
12. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Ling Koulan Taken into Custody
At 7:00 p.m. on February 28, 2008, Zhou Zhengwu (male), director of the Liujiatang Police Station in Lushan District, Jiujiang City, and Chen Jian (male), deputy director of the police station, led several other officers to the small retail store owned by Ms. Ling Koulan. The officers took Ms. Ling to an undisclosed place.

13. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Liu Guiqin and Ms. Shang Yun'en Taken into Custody; Their Homes Searched
During the Chinese New Year's season around February 7, 2008, the police in Feng County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province were afraid that copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party would be distributed by practitioners. The police searched the homes of Ms. Liu Guiqin and Ms. Shang Yun'en and took Ms. Shang into custody. They later took Ms. Liu into custody as well. The police also searched the homes of other practitioners.
In addition, two practitioners in No. 7 Village in Mei County, Baoji City were also taken into custody.
14. [Qian'an City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Yue and Other Practitioners Held at Qian'an City Detention Center
According to reliable sources, Ms. Wang Weiyue has been held at the Qian'an City Detention Center. Other practitioners being held there include: Ms. Li Yankui, Mr. Zhao Minghua and his wife, Mr. Li Qingsong, Mr. Cui Qingru, and an elderly practitioner with last name Zhang.
15. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Additional Information Regarding the Unlawful Detention of Mr. Zhou Yongbing
Mr. Zhou Yongbing, a practitioner in Yueyang City, was transferred from the Zhenzhushan Police Station to the Domestic Security Division in Baishiling Police Department on the afternoon of March 4, 2008. In the morning on March 5, Mr. Zhou was transferred to the Domestic Security Division of the Yueyang City Police Department. He is being held at the Hubin Detention Center in Yueyang City.

16. [Chongqing] Mr. Zheng Peng Taken into Custody
Before Chinese New Year's Day, February 7, 2008, Mr. Zheng Peng, a practitioner in Yuzhong District, Chongqing, was taken into custody while he was distributing truth clarification materials in the Zhangjia Garden area. His home was searched and his whereabouts is unknown.
17. [Wucheng County, Shandong Province] Ms. Lu Chunfeng and Mr. Li Fengchang Unlawfully Taken to Forced Labor Camps
In early January of 2008, Ms. Lu Chunfeng, who works at the Guangyun Neighborhood Administration Office, was turned in to the authorities while she was clarifying the truth at the county seat. Officers from the county police department took her into custody. She was held at a detention center for over 20 days before being taken to the Shandong Province No. 1 Women's Forced Labor Camp on January 29 to serve one year of forced labor. Her husband was doing business out of town and their two young daughters have not been taken care of.
Ms. Lu has been on a hunger strike for over a month. The labor camp officials did not allow her husband's younger brother to meet with her.
On January 16, 2008, Mr. Li Fengchang, a practitioner who lives at Zhangwangzhuang Village in Wucheng Town, was taken into custody by officers who broke into his home. Mr. Li was taking care of his wife who was recovering from an operation. The police confiscated Falun Dafa books and took Mr. Li to the Wucheng County Detention Center. On January 29, Mr. Li was taken to the Shandong Province No. 2 Forced Labor Administration Camp (formerly Wangcun Forced Labor Camp) for one year of forced labor. Mr. Li's wife is unable to take care of herself.
18. [Heilongjiang Province] Practitioners Beaten at Daqing Prison
On the afternoon of February 29, 2008, Mr. Zhu Hongbing, a practitioner unlawfully held at the No. 10 Sub-Ward in the No. 5 Ward of the Daqing Prison, was sending forth righteous thoughts in his bed when prison guard Yang Youlong (male) broke into the cell. Yang ordered inmates Gao Yuan (male), Zheng Hongyu (male), and Teng Yimin (male) in the No. 10 Sub-Ward to beat Mr. Zhu. Mr. Zhu was knocked down to the ground and kicked by the inmates. He had pain in his chest, blood came out of his nostrils, and there was traces of blood in his phlegm. Mr. Zhu is having difficulty walking.
19. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Several Practitioners Unlawfully Sentenced to Prison
On May 16, 2007, Ms. Chen Jie, Ms. Xie Wenju and Ms. Zhong Chongwen were turned in to the police while they were clarifying the truth. Officers from the Kangjiadu Police Station took them into custody. The three practitioners were taken to Qingbaijiang Detention Center. Nothing was found when the police searched the practitioners' homes. On February 3, 2008, the Qingbaijiang Court in Chengdu City held a trial. Ms. Chen Jie was sentenced to five years in prison, and Ms. Xie Wenju to three and a half years. Ms. Zhong Chongwen was placed on parole. She was sentenced to three years in prison with four years of probation.
On May 25, 2007, Ms. Wei Denghui was taken into custody on Xindu Street after her husband was followed by people dispatched by the No. 5 Police Department of the Sichuan Chemical Group. Ms. Zhang Hong was taken into custody after officers from the same police department told her they wanted to have a talk with her. Ms. Wei and Ms. Zhang have been held at the Xindu Detention Center. On February 3, 2008, the Qingbaijiang Court sentenced Ms. Wei Denghui to four years in prison, and Ms. Zhang Hong to three and a half years.
Ms. Bai Yuyuan, who returned from Chengdu City on September 24, 2007, was taken into custody while shopping with her husband. She has been held in Jintang Detention Center. On February 3, 2008, she was "Illegally sentenced" to three and a half years in prison.
20. [Yitong County, Jilin Province] Police Harass Practitioners at Their Homes
On March 3, 2008, five police officers--four male and one female--from the Yitong County and the Xijie Police Station repeatedly went to several practitioners' homes in the Menjiatun area to harass them. At around 8:00 p.m. the officers went to harass several other practitioners at their homes. Only a child was home at one of the homes, and the child locked the door. The officers broke the lock, smashed the door down, took pictures, and ransacked the place.
On March 4, 2008, the police went to practitioners' homes again to take pictures and fingerprints. They threatened to take the practitioners into custody if they refused to be fingerprinted.
21. [Antu County, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Taken into Custody
Ms. Bai Mei (an alias), a practitioner in the Baihe area in Antu County, was taken into custody in the Lushuihe area in Baishan City around 5:00 p.m. on March 2, 2008. Ms. Li Hui and two other practitioners were taken into custody at the same time. The police confiscated notebook computers and other personal items.
22. [Kaili City, Guizhou Province] Practitioner Ms. Wang Ludan Taken to Brainwashing Center
Brainwashing sessions are being held at the Erlong Juvenile Delinquency School. It has been verified that Ms. Wang Ludan was taken to the school. Practitioners have been followed by people sent from the local residential committees.
23. [Jiuquan County, Gansu Provcine] Five Practitioners Remain in Custody
On December 6, 2007, eight practitioners from Jiuquan County went to Tashi Township to distribute truth clarification materials. They were taken into custody. One practitioner managed to escape on December 9 and has been forced to leave town and is homeless. Two of the practitioners have been released and the other five remain in custody at the detention center.

24. [Hubei Province] Ms. Mei Guirong Unlawfully Held at Huangmei County Detention Center
On February 26, 2008, officers from the Xinkai Town Police Station in Huangmei County took into custody three practitioners who were clarifying truth in Xinkai Town. The three practitioners, Ms. Mei Guirong, Ms. Hu Xuefang, and Ms. Liu Yulan, are from Caishan Town, Huangmei County. They are being held at the county detention center.
25. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Li Fulin Unlawfully Sentenced to Four Years in Prison by Futian Court
Mr. Li Fulin was sentenced to four years in prison by the Futian Court. Mr. Li filed an appeal. He remains in custody at the Futian Detention Center.
