(Clearwisdom.net) In Xindia City, at around 10:30 p.m. on February 28, 2008, two vans surrounded Dr. Wang Guangming's clinic/home. Nine police officers from the Wennan Town Police Station entered Mr. Wang's home and confiscated his Dafa books and his satellite dish and TV. They then arrested him and detained him for interrogation.
An insider from the police department revealed that Dr. Wang refused to renounce his belief during questioning and shouted, "Falun Dafa is good".
Mr. Wang Guangming, who is in his 60s, is a resident of Wangjiazhuang Village, Liangcheng Township, Mengyin County, Shandong Province. He became disabled as a child and had to use a cane thereafter. He is single and has an older brother. Mr. Wang is a doctor of Chinese medicine and a truthful and kind man. Several years ago, he lived with the Liu's in Xuzhuang Village in Wennan Town, where he practiced Chinese medicine. About two years ago, after he learned the truth about Falun Dafa, he took up the practice. His health improved and he could walk long distances without his cane.
Dr. Wang always told his patients how he benefited from practicing Dafa. Whenever he saw that treatments could not stop his patients' pain, he would introduce them to Falun Dafa, which helped them get rid of their pain and also lessened their financial burden. Everyone said he was a good man.
It was a shock to the village that such an upstanding man was reported to the authorities and arrested. They are all talking about his arrest. Even young children say, "Nowadays, sheep, pigs, dogs, and even trees get stolen. There are so many thieves out there. And yet, they arrested such a kind man. The police are really bad."
It was reported that on the day after Dr. Wang's arrest, another police van arrived. About eight police officials (one of them a woman) broke into Dr. Wang's clinic/home and ransacked it. They took advantage of the villagers' ignorance: the villagers do not understand the laws nor do they know how to stand up for their rights.
