1. Studying the Fa and Practicing the Exercises
Under my mother's guidance, I was very fortunate to have begun practicing Falun Gong in October 1995. From then on I studied the Fa eagerly every day. Whatever time I had I would spend it by reading and when I did I would feel as if I were being immersed in the sea of the Fa. It was a very happy and joyous feeling indeed. During that period of time, I could feel my body and soul undergoing tremendous changes. I never allowed myself to relax one bit. I studied the Fa more and more, cultivated myself in my daily actions, and continued to improve myself.
After the persecution of Dafa by the CCP and the Jiang regime, many Dafa disciples in mainland China, including myself, lost their large-scale Fa-study and group practice environment. Then, after having heard that the entire country gets up at 3:50 a.m. to practice the exercises, I was very excited. It was very miraculous, as I would wake up everyday at 3:40 a.m. I know this was Master calling me, and so I had to get up to practice the exercises. In order not to affect the rest of my family, I did not play the exercise music. Even though the environment was very quiet, every time I practiced the exercises I could hear the exercise music. It was magnificent, Dafa is just so wonderful!
In my opinion, the hardest thing to do among the three things is "clarifying the truth". I am an introverted person and do not talk that much. In the beginning, I met many people who would refuse to listen and refuse to believe what I said. Some even said some very ugly and dirty words to me. I stopped and didn't dare to say anything else for a period of time. Later, through studying the Fa, I recognized the urgency of saving sentient beings and so I began clarifying the truth through writing letters. In these letters I wrote about my personal experiences and also touched on many aspects about the facts of the persecution, including things that people are concerned about, like why the CCP persecutes Falun Gong, how Falun Gong was becoming popular overseas, the truth behind the Tiananmen Self-Immolation Incident, etc. After sending them to a few people with biased opinions towards Dafa, they were all very excited. Some even called me, "Now I see that Falun Gong is so good! The CCP is so evil. I have read your letters, you write very well, much better than you speak." They also said many words of gratitude which gave me a lot of encouragement. In fact, for all this I give credit to Master. If Master were not behind us and looking after us, none of this would have been possible. I know that Master is looking after and encouraging me. From that point on to the current day, I began to write continuously and have even added contents on the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and the "Three Withdrawals"
In clarifying the truth, my principle was: Do not stop no matter what, even if it seems like just a simple and small act, like a flier, a letter, etc. Even if I have to run a long distance just to get to a single house, it is worth it and not done in vain. A very touching experience happened when I clarified the truth to a fellow colleague. I gave her many truth-clarification materials, the Nine Commentaries and the Three Withdraws as well. Some time later I met up with her again and she asked me to help her entire family withdraw from the Party using their real names. It was only because of my faith in Master, my faith in Dafa and of following Master's teachings that I achieved such a good result.
With the quick progress of Fa-rectification, truth clarification material sites bloomed across the entire nation. Everyone could not wait or rely on others, and each one of us had to walk own paths as we were creating our own sites. We have to treasure this opportunity and walk well in our cultivation path. In 2005, my daughter finished her studies and moved back home, bringing along her computer. This gave me an opportunity to start making Dafa materials at home. I learned how to go on line, print materials, and distribute them according to each person's situation. Many elderly people in Guangzhou City are not familiar with Mandarin, so I found a Cantonese version of the truth-clarification fliers and printed them out for them. Everyone who saw them were deeply astonished. The overall effect was very good.
I read a fellow practitioners' sharing on the Internet that they have begun to clarify the truth by writing messages on money. I did the same and began using bills to clarify the truth. Every day I had to buy things like groceries and other materials. Before going out I would first write on all the bills that were 10 yuan and under. Then, I would send forth righteous thoughts before going out. Every day I would spend a dozen or so bills. Sometimes when I finished using these bills, I wouldn't want to use the bills that were not written on.
3. Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts
Master has given all disciples the precious Fa tool of sending forth righteous thoughts to allow us to eliminate all evil and save sentient beings. Since sending righteous thoughts began, I have devoted myself to it. At home, I send righteous thoughts every hour unless I have something urgent to do or at night when was asleep. Every day though, I send righteous thoughts more than a dozen times. Each time I feel my body being surrounded by energy and I feel like I cannot move at all. It is through Master's compassion and grace that I feel this way. I think every true Dafa practitioner can feel it. It is an indescribable feeling that even by using all the words in heaven and on earth, still cannot be explained.
Every day, I do the three things regularly. For the past eight years till now, every Dafa disciple has been able to walk his or her arranged path only under the guidance of Master's compassionate protection. Even so, I often tend to fall down on my path. After seeing the magnificent achievements of other practitioners, I feel very ashamed of myself. I don't think that I have cultivated myself well and because of this I have not dared to write any experience sharing articles for the Minghui/Clearwisdom website. Thanks to other practitioners and their encouragement, I have truly felt that writing articles is not simply a process of validating the Fa, but also one of eliminating the evil and improving oneself. Please feel free to point out any inadequacies in my sharing.
