(Clearwisdom.net) From March 9th to 12th, 2008, the Divine Performing Arts of New York (DPA) performed five shows in four days in the Zhuoshui River valley in Taiwan that attracted many principals and other educators from high schools, middle schools and primary schools in Yunlin County. The principals made special trips to Huisun Hall in the National Chung Hsing University to watch the performances. Most of them are either leaders or researchers in education and evaluate performing arts with high critical standards.

Mr. Zeng Mingzhong, an official of the Education Bureau, said, "The performers of the Divine Performing Arts are no ordinary performers. Their every movement displayed such a charm that a magical energy seemed to be radiating from them." He said he was sitting in the first ten rows, and had a special feeling as if he were being taken to another dimension and returning to his true self. In the second half of the performance, the Erhu solo was soft and sorrowful yet determined. He could hardly hold back his tears, as he felt that the Erhu was telling a touching story of life.

Mr. Zeng continued, "The performance wakes up people's souls. It has great vitality." He used the concept of "dripping water wears through rock" to describe the global tour of the Divine Performing Arts. He said the performance helped people to learn to be persistent and unrelenting when faced with challenges.

After watching the show, Mr. Lu Zhongyi, Principal of Chien-Kuo Junior High School, talked about the meaning revealed by the song "Understand the Truth". He said human beings are warped. People are often misled by confusing arguments. So people must have wisdom to understand the truth of the world and society. One can only be saved by harboring benevolence and compassion. Principal Lu appreciated the performances of the Divine Performing Arts, as they will help to to upgrade the morality of society.

Mr. Lu Peichuan is Principal of National Beigang Senior High School. His student Lin Bohong represented Yulin County to attend the NTDTV International Chinese Classical Dance Competition in New York last year and was awarded the second prize. When Mr. Peichuan heard that the DPA was coming to Taichung, he immediately bought tickets and went to watch the show with other principals from Yulin County. He used many adjectives such as "profound, elegant, exquisite, grand, and thrilling" to describe how much he had enjoyed the show. He also highly praised the performances of the three vocalists. Both the singing and the lyrics were soul-touching. Principal Lu added, "The two drum dances sounded like wind from heaven and rain from the ocean. When the masculine and lofty sound [of the drums] resounded, I felt my mind being purified."

Ms. Lin Xiugui, principal of Tounan Elementary School is a researcher in the arts and humanities. She complimented the performance of the DPA as a "crystallization of arts." She said that while watching the performance, she was absorbed in the unmatchable beauty and the exciting environment in the performing hall. When Soprano Huang Biru was singing the song "Be Saved," she couldn't hold back her tears when hearing the lyrics "We have fallen into this maze. Helpless, lost, can't find the way." Ms. Lin believed that the messages conveyed by the performances are very valuable to young people for their education about life and virtue. She appeals to businesses and the government to invite and sponsor the DPA to conduct tour shows in schools.

The pure truthfulness, pure compassion and pure beauty of the Divine Performing Arts of New York has made a great stir in more than just the educational field. The Taiwanese now look forward to DPA performances in Taiwan every year.
