(Clearwisdom.net) I'm a practitioner from Mainland China. I want to share something that happened while clarifying the facts. It is my hope to remind fellow practitioners who have run into, or will run into, similar situations to let go of human attachments and seize the opportunity, and realize that there is no time for delay.
The company I work for hired two retired senior engineers, Mr. Sun and Mr. Zhao. They had worked here for several years. Mr. Sun is now 68 years old, and Mr. Zhao is 64 years old. They have pretty good health and seldom take days off.
At the end of 2007, Mr. Sun did not come to work for a few days. I heard later of one of his legs hurting during the days. He had difficulty coming to work. I had wanted to clarify the facts to him, but did not find a good opportunity. So this time I wanted to take the opportunity to talk to him. As soon as I had this thought, Master arranged an opportunity for me. Mr. Sun came back to work a few days later, crippled. He came to my office for something. I told him about Falun Dafa and that he would recover if he kept reciting wholeheartedly, "Falun Dafa is Good. Zhen-Shan-Ren is Good." He agreed and said, "Okay, I will give it a try when I get home." I also gave him a keepsake as a reminder. After a few days Sun returned to work, healthy. He met me one day and gladly told me, "Thank you for giving me the keepsake. My leg recovered!" I replied, "If you want to thank someone, thank my Master. Falun Dafa and Master Li helped you. Please remember the words and recite them often." He said, "For sure!" Mr. Sun never again had this illness. I gave him some Falun Gong materials later on and asked him to share them with his family.
I also wanted to clarify the facts to Mr. Zhao a long time ago, but my human notions stalled me. When Zhao came to my office one day I said, "I want to give you a keepsake as a gift." He was hesitant at first. When I told him it is would safeguard him, he accepted and thanked me. He returned a while later, though, and gave back the keepsake saying, "This is Falun Gong stuff. I don't want it." I was on the phone at that moment and didn't have a chance to speak with him. I took the keepsake and he left. I thought I would find another opportunity in the future to speak with him. However, I heard he was hit by a car while riding his bicycle near the seashore on a Sunday afternoon. He lost his life.
I was so regretful when I heard this. I blamed myself for not seizing the opportunity; perhaps it would be a different story had I talked to him.
I thought much about it. Master told us we are rushing to save people (not original words). I truly understood the deep meaning of Master's words. If we do not make good use of our time, if we always tell ourselves "no need to hurry," if we think other practitioners are doing it, if we all think this way, then we will run into the situation I experienced. We will truly feel regret, and it will be too late to do anything.
It's the last phase in Fa-rectification. We should go all out and waste no time in saving people. We should do our best to save as many as we can. We should do our best and leave ourselves less regret.
Originally I wanted to tell this story and had planned to name the article "A Different Choice Leads to a Different Result." While writing the article, I realized there is something wrong with my point of view and that I should look inside. Master told us time and again nothing that happens to Dafa practitioners is accidental.
