Mary Rose and James, who write "Weekend Adventures with James & Mom" for chiff.com

Mary Rose and her son, James, from Westchester, New York, came to see the Splendor. Mary Rose and James write "Weekend Adventures with James & Mom" for chiff.com, a company based in Manhattan. They try to take in educational cultural events.

She said, "Besides the beautiful colors and the dancing, you're also getting a feel for the culture and history, and you have the little anecdotes, so yes, we are getting a lot out of it. It's a lot more than just sitting and watching a show. It's really getting an appreciation for the history and the culture.

"You're really getting that loyalty and the spirituality of the culture that really come through in the songs. I liked that when you were hearing the sopranos' beautiful voices, you got to see the translation, so that you could see the feelings and the words at the same time. You could feel the feeling but you got to see what it was that they felt so strongly about.

She said she would "definitely recommend" the Splendor because "it's a stunning show." "It is visually stunning, and I think, emotionally, you get it. It's a very moving show."
