(Clearwisdom.net) On the evening of February 22, Falun Gong practitioners held a candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese Embassy in Los Angeles to commemorate their fellow practitioners who were tortured to death by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). They also exposed the CCP's crime of killing millions of Chinese people since it took power in China.

Based on incomplete data from the Minghui/Clearwisdom website (at this time, it is not possible to determine the number of practitioners killed by the CCP in secret), the CCP has killed 3,128 practitioners in the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China. The CCP's crime of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, which was exposed in the beginning of 2006, indicates that the CCP's brutality and cruelty in the persecution are beyond people's imagination.

Falun Gong practitioners at the vigil expressed that the CCP's crimes against humanity hurt not only countless innocent Chinese people, but also people in free countries as well. They called on kind-hearted people to step forward, condemn the CCP's atrocities, and rescue practitioners who are unlawfully imprisoned.

Chinese Democracy activists come voluntarily to participate in the candlelight vigil and are willing to step forward and give their real names (from left to right: Jiang Fuqun, Zheng Cunzhu, Peter Zhou, and Yin Yong)

Chinese Democracy activist Zheng Cunzhu came to support the vigil. He said, "Though it is cold tonight, I and several friends would like to support this activity." When mentioning the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong, Mr. Zheng said two of his friends, Guo Chenghuan and Wu Liang, were persecuted in China for practicing Falun Gong. He said, "Their morality and character were very good. The Chinese government's persecution of Falun Gong is completely wrong."

Yin Yong, who came with Mr. Zheng said, "I came to the US last year from Yanbian. My father was persecuted to death because he practiced Falun Gong. I am twenty-seven years old now. I was only 19 when my father was illegally arrested. The police also detained me. I hope that people in China quit the CCP and its associated organizations."

Many passersby and cars slowed down to support the candlelight vigil. One elderly couple from Tianjin who did not want to disclose their names passed by and studied the banners in silence. When asked about their thoughts, the woman said, "I am indignant about the CCP's atrocities. Many of my colleagues in China were arrested for practicing Falun Gong."
