1. [Liaoning Province] Exposing Evil Acts in the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp
The authorities of the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp have divided the detained female practitioners, a total of about seven hundred, into three teams. Upon arriving in the labor camp, each practitioner is monitored by several former practitioners. The practitioners are not allowed to talk to each other, are forced to stand facing the wall, and are not allowed to move until 10 p.m. each day. Consequently, some practitioners' legs have become swollen, and they have collapsed while being forced to stand. After they are pulled upright again, the practitioners are forced to continue standing. Moreover, the practitioners who refuse to be "transformed" are forced to watch videos with contents slandering Falun Gong. Practitioners who still refuse to be "transformed" are being transferred to workshops to do arduous manufacturing work.
2. [Xi'an City, Shanxi Province] Four Practitioners, Including Ms. Ding Hong, Sentenced to Forced Labor
This week, Ms. Ding Hong and 67-year-old Ms. Liu Yulan were arrested by Zhou Xiaoyu, a police officer from Xincheng District, Xi'an City. They were both sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor. Mr. Chen Mingan has been sentenced to one year and three months of forced labor, also at the hands of officer Zhou Xiaoyu. Another practitioner, Mr. Miao, was sentenced to one year of forced labor. Mr. Chen and Mr. Miao were taken to Zaozihe Forced Labor Camp and subjected to abuse.
Mr. Chen has been sentenced to forced labor four times, for a total of six and a half years. He was also held in a brainwashing center for some time. Mr. Chen's wife was sentenced to one year of forced labor for promoting Falun Gong and exposing the persecution. One month after he was released, Mr. Chen was taken to a brainwashing center then transferred to the Zaozihe Forced Labor Camp.
3. [Chongqing City] Mr. Su Guohong Arrested and Subjected to Abuse
Mr. Su Guohong, in his forties, is a graduate student at the History & Museum Institute of Chongqing Normal University. On May 12, 2008, he went to Sanxia Square in Shapingba District to pass out flyers about Falun Gong. Consequently, he was taken to the Baihelin Detention Center, where he was detained for 15 days. On June 16, 2008, authorities at the Chongqing Normal University issued a notice dismissing Mr. Su. He argued that the notice did not conform to the university's policies. When he was preparing to go home on June 27, 2008, he was taken to a brainwashing center by University personnel. In the center, he showed symptoms of severe disease, so he was transferred to the Central Hospital affiliated with the Chongqing Forced Labor Bureau and subjected to further abuse. His family was not notified. The evildoers responsible for monitoring Mr. Su in the hospital prohibited him from going to the restroom. He became nauseated, experienced a ringing in his ear, and developed a cough. Sometimes he coughed up blood. He felt a swelling pain in his lower abdomen. He also had to urinate frequently and urgently. He often felt uncomfortable in his chest area and developed benign tumors in his liver.

4. [Beijing City] Several Practitioners from the No. 2 Institute of the Aerospace Department Sentenced to Forced Labor in April 2008
Before the Olympic Games, several practitioners working at the No. 2 Institute of the Aerospace Department were arrested and sentenced to forced labor. Among them were Ms. Li Ren, who is 60 years old, and Ms. Zhao Shuyuan, who is over 60 years old. Both of them were sentenced to two years of forced labor. Ms. Li's 80-year-old mother was left unattended.
5. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Authorities of Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp Detain Practitioners Past Their Term
At present, many practitioners in Heixuizi Forced Labor Camp have been detained past their term. Practitioners who refuse to do labor have had their terms extended for 27 days, and those who refused to sign documents guaranteeing to quit the practice have had them extended for one month. Some guards claimed that they would extend the terms by 180 days. Nearly all practitioners that are detained are unwilling to work for the CCP any more. Therefore, the guards beat and kick them, hit them with electric batons, hang them up, and prohibit them from going to the restroom.
Ms. Li Hongyan refused to do more labor, so Zhang Mei (female), director of the No. 4 Ward, slapped her on the face more than 20 times. Ms. Li's face and neck were injured, and her shoulders turned blue. Her hands were cuffed to a bunk. As a result, she could not squat or sit down. She was prohibited from going to the restroom.
6. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Xindu District Police Department, Procuratorate, and Court Continue to Persecute Falun Gong Practitioners
Ms. Jiang Yifen, 68, was arrested by police officers from Xindu District for promoting Falun Gong on May 18, 2008. Ms. Wang Yingxia, 45, was arrested by police officers from Xindu District on June 11, 2008. Mr. Wu Fengquan and Mr. Wu Fenglin were arrested by police officers from Xindu District for passing out Falun Gong flyers on the night of July 26, 2008. Ms. Chen Xianying, Ms. Kuang Xiaochun, and other practitioners were arrested by police officers from Xindu District on November 27, 2008. Ms. Chen is still detained. During her detention, she has been beaten and tortured.
On the morning of November 7, 2008, Xindu Court opened a session to try Ms. Wang Yingxia. Chen Lunfu, the court president, knew clearly that the trial was unreasonable, so he postponed it. On the morning of November 12, 2008, Ms. Wang's family member saw a notice on the bulletin board saying that the second court session to try Ms. Wang Yingxia would be opened that morning. Actually, no such court session was held. In this manner, the Xindu District Court covertly sentenced Ms. Wang to three years of imprisonment. After family members made inquiries, it was learned that the court covertly sentenced Ms. Jiang Yifen to three years, Mr. Wu Fenglin to four years, and Mr. Wu Fengquan to four years of imprisonment.

7. [Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Yanming Suffers Severe Abuse in Shandong Second Forced Labor Camp
Mr. Wang Yanming was recently taken to the No. 7 Ward of the Shandong Second Forced Labor Camp. Since he refused to give up his beliefs, he suffered severe abuse. Three guards brutally beat him many times. He was beaten to the point where he almost could not move.

Ms. Ren Yuzhen was sentenced to seven years of imprisonment by the Hejia Court. Ms. Yue Shuyu was sentenced to four years of imprisonment. Ms. Ren's neck tumor has recurred, and has grown as big as a bowl. The local hospital recommended that she be transferred to Beijing or Tianjin for treatment.

On August 5, 2008, just before the Olympic Games, police officers from the Fucheng District Police Department, State Security Division, 610 Office, and Xinzao Town Police Station arrested Mr. Sun Renzhi and Ms. Liang Bizhen, local practitioners in Xinzao Town. The officers seized property worth about 10,000 yuan, including a computer from Ms. Liang's home. As of now, they are still detained in the Mianyang City Detention Center and subjected to abuse.

11. [Shandong Province] Mr. Cao Junfeng Taken to Shandong Police Hospital by Police Officers
About ten days ago, for so-called "treatment," Mr. Cao Junfeng was taken to the Shandong Police Hospital from Shouguang City Detention Center by police officers from the Shandong Police Hospital.
That hospital is another dark den for the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Several dying practitioners have been taken to this hospital and subjected to abuse. Mr. Liu Jian, who later died of abuse in the Liuchangshan Forced Labor Camp, was detained in this hospital from April to June 2001. At the end of 2007, Ms. Meng Lijun was persecuted to the point of critical illness there.

12. [Hebei Province] Follow-up Report on Abuse Suffered by Practitioners from Wuqiao County
Mr. Wu Fuhe, from North Xuwang Village, Liangji Township, Wuqiao County, has been detained in the Wuqiao County Detention Center. In about 10 days, the local officials will open a court session to try him without notifying his family. Mr. Li Wanqing, from South Xuwang Village, Yuji Town, has been sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor and taken to Handan City.

13. [Qianan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zheng Zhixian Arrested
At noon on November 13, 2008, Ms. Zheng Zhixian, 58, was forced into a car by four police officers led by Peng Minghui, deputy director of the Qianan City Police Department and State Security Division. Her home was searched, and two Dafa books, cash with truth-clarification facts about Dafa on it, and some truth-clarifying materials were seized. Her whereabouts are unknown.
14. [Hulunbeier Prefecture, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Many Practitioners Harassed and Their Homes Searched
On November 19, 2008, police officers from Dayangshu Town in the Hulunbeier Prefecture launched another round of arresting practitioners and searching their homes. It has been learned that nearly 40 Dafa books were seized from one practitioner. This practitioner was detained at the local police station. Another female practitioner's two copies of Zhuan Falun were seized. Five or six other practitioners' homes were also searched, but the police officers did not find anything they were interested in.

16. [Tianjin City] Ms. Shi Yuping Suffers Abuse in Tianjin Women's Prison
Ms. Shi Yuping, 61, contracted breast cancer before she began practicing Falun Gong, but has since been in good health. She was covertly sentenced to three and a half years of imprisonment for clarifying the truth about Dafa by the Wuqing District Court. She made an appeal to a higher court. After that, she was transferred to the Tianjin City No. 1 Detention Center. Two months later, she was taken to the Tianjin City Women's Prison.
On September 18, 2008, when her family members visited for the first time since she had been detained, they found that her hair had become white, she had difficulty walking, and her lower back was crooked. She had to be supported by Pan (female), her cell mate. Letters from her family members were withheld by director Liu Shuang.
On October 15, 2008, her family members went to visit her a second time. The guards turned them away because they did not have "visitation certification."
On November 19, 2008, when her family visited her a third time, they asked her why she could not lift her feet while walking. She answered that she had been forced to sit on a small stool for two months.
17. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Yongshang and Ms. Zhang Wenying Suffer Abuse
At dusk on August 13, 2008, Mr. Wang Yongshang left his home in South Panjia Village, Xinzhuang Town, Zhaoyuan City. Since then, his whereabouts have been unknown. Soon after he left his home, some police officers searched it. At about 9 p.m. on the same day, four police cars drove to Dongnan Village, Xinzhuang Town, where Ms. Zhang Wenying lives. Ms. Zhang was not at home. The officers searched her home and seized her daughter's Sitman computer and CD player.

Ms. Miao Chunyan lives in Zhifu District, Yantai City. She was taken to a brainwashing center from her workplace by agents from the local 610 Office. Later, she was transferred to a detention center. She has been sentenced to imprisonment.

19. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Shao Min Arrested
Ms. Shao, 45, lives in Bunan Village, Jinling Town, Zhaoyuan City. On August 4, 2008, she went to her parents' home. At 11:30 a.m., she opened the door to let her father in, and more than 20 police officers from the Zhaoyuan City 610 Office and Jinling Town Police Station, who were following her father, swarmed in without showing any ID. They searched the home and seized a laptop computer and a desktop computer. Four officers forced her into a police car. During the process, her older brother was hit in the face, her younger brother was injured, and her niece's ears were hit. Later, without showing search warrants, the officers broke into and searched the homes of her two brothers.

23. [Hebei Province] Recent Situation of Mr. Wang Deqian
At about 10 a.m. on November 21, 2008, Mr. Wang Deqian, who has been detained in the Yi County Detention Center for eight months, saw his wife for the first time since he was detained. They were separated by two iron doors.
It has been reported that the Yi County Court sentenced Mr. Wang to four years of imprisonment. At present, he is holding a hunger strike to protest the illegal sentence. His hunger strike has lasted nine days and he is extremely weak. When he saw his wife, he was not even strong enough to speak.
