(Clearwisdom.net) I was arrested by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officers in 2007 and was taken to the Mahu Special First Ward, Hongshan District, i.e, the Hubei Province Women's Labor Camp. Now I am back at home after being released. The following exposes how Falun Dafa practitioners are tortured during long periods of detainment in the labor camp. We call on all kind people's attention to rescue those Falun Gong practitioners who are being brutally tortured there.

The Hubei Province Women's Labor Camp portrays itself as the "sunshine labor camp" and boasts that it exercises "supervision with humanity," where the guards "give of themselves selflessly." Actually it is a place of brutal torture devoid of any humanity. The guards select inmates to act as "internal security." These prisoners, usually hardened drug addicts, serve the guards, supplying them with snacks and washing their clothes and bedding. The guards assign two drug addicts to monitor and torture one Falun Gong practitioner. Practitioners are subjected to long-term sleep deprivation, they are forced to squat, stand in a military pose, or stand while holding a basin of water. If they stand askew, they will be beaten. Guards sometimes also put a bowl of water on the practitioners' legs and practitioners are not allowed to move. If they move a little bit and the water is splashed, they are kicked and punched.

A drug addict named Wang Gui (from Yichang City, Hubei Province) groped practitioners' private parts with his hands, squeezed their ears, and pinched their breasts hard. Falun Gong practitioners are abused and tortured until they are black and blue, with wounds all over the body. They are made to watch DVDs and other materials that slander Dafa and Master. They are also forced to write so-called "experience sharing" essays renouncing their belief.

On July 9, 2008, a large number of Falun Gong practitioners were illegally arrested in Beijing. The Beijing Highest People's Court and the Highest People's Procurator were reportedly involved. They were afraid that Falun Gong practitioners would clarify the truth and disclose the CCP's lies during the Olympics. The practitioners were arrested on their way to work and/or home and they were taken to prisons and labor camps all over the country. It was said that five among them were taken to an unknown location.

Fifty Falun Gong practitioners were detained at the Hubei Province Forced Labor Camp, after which the environment there became even worse. Every day, practitioners were forced to labor from 7:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. During these 12 ½ hours, they were allowed only an hour to line up to get food at lunch time and dinner time. At night, they were forced to stand in front of wall until one, two or three o'clock in the morning. The earliest time they were allowed to stop standing was 12:00 a.m. The drug addicts watched at their sides and would beat and curse practitioners as they liked. During the summer, they would not allow a practitioner to slap mosquitoes even if they were bitten. They were made to sleep on a "Dead Person's Bed"(1) and were not allowed to go to bathroom. They were forced to stay on the cement pavement under the baking sun for four to five hours. With the excuse that practitioners were suffering from diabetes, every meal they were given was of very limited food. Practitioners were forced to say "report" when they went in or out of a door; and if their voice was too low, they would be forced to repeat this one hundred times.

After a prolonged period of forced work and daily torture, Ms. Yang Mei passed out in the dining room and was hauled off to a hospital for emergency treatment. One practitioner from Beijing was stripped of her clothes and dragged from a restroom and thrown onto a bed. Several drug addicts squeezed practitioners' breasts with great force. Some kicked practitioners' lower bodies so fiercely that they became so bruised they could hardly walk. They tortured practitioners by pulling their arms into unnatural positions, causing excruciating pain and injury. One practitioner could not tolerate the torture any longer and hit the wall with miserable cries. The drug addicts finally stopped the abuse because they were afraid of torturing somebody to death.

One older woman refused to sing the CCP's evil song. She was beaten and forced to stand in a military pose. A steadfast practitioner was tortured before she was to be released after her term expired.

Besides subjecting practitioners to physical torture and long hours of forced labor, the labor camp makes huge amounts of money off of prisoners at the prison store. For example, the cost of a brush is 5 yuan at the prison store, while it costs 1.5 yuan out of the labor camp. They charge 2 yuan for a one-minute phone call. A bag of tissue costs 30 yuan at the labor camp store, while it costs 15 yuan outside of the labor camp.

The Hubei Province Women's Labor Camp administration:
Directors: Yu Ping'an, Gong Xiu (female)

Political instructor: Chen Changhua

Directors of the Education Ward (all are female): Cheng Li, Wang Zhang Xiaoyan, Li Li, Liu Wenli.

(1) "Dead Person's Bed": The four limbs of the practitioner are stretched out and tied to the four corners of an icy-cold metal bed. The practitioner cannot move at all. Neither is he allowed to get up to eat, drink, or go to the bathroom. This treatment may last from several hours up to more than a dozen days. This type of cruel torture causes severe damage to the practitioner both mentally and physically. See illustration at http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2004/12/15/55600.html
