(Clearwisdom.net) On October 31, 2008, Minghui website [Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net] reported a brutal persecution case. After reading it, I felt sad and appalled by the evil deeds of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). It was reported that a 69-year-old practitioner named Ms. Liu Xiaolian from Chibi City of Hubei Province had been detained many times since the CCP started the persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999. She was subjected to inhuman tortures such as "five horses splitting the body," being injected with unknown drugs, force-fed unknown pills, and routinely beaten. She had suffered tremendously, both physically and mentally, until August of this year. At that time, her body was swollen and she was on the verge of death. She was released and died at home on October 26, 2008.

According to the report, Ms. Liu started practicing Falun Gong in 1995. Within half a month, she regained sight in her blind right eye, her health improved and she became happy and outgoing. After Jiang's regime and the CCP started persecuting Falun Gong, she appealed to the government for an end to the persecution. She wanted to tell the government that practicing Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance is not a crime. She was arrested and tortured by the police many times with various methods, including forced standing in the snow outside in extremely cold weather, savagely beating on the head and eyes and forced kneeling for several hours a day. The perpetrator was Cai Jinping, who at that time was the director of Politics and Security.

One of the more inhuman and appalling torture methods is the so-called "five horse splitting the body." In December 2002, Deng Dingshen, chief of the Chibi City First Detention Center, led nineteen other policemen and inmates to beat Ms. Liu. They pulled hard on her body in five different directions including head, arms and legs. It split her perineum and dislocated several joints all over her body. Other accomplices hung her in the air and used iron chains and shackles as heavy as 50 pounds to beat her. This appalling inhuman torture attracted the attention of the international community. On February 4, 2004, the special rapporteur on torture from the United Nations issued an urgent appeal for Ms. Liu Xiaolian.

However, the torture did not stop or even subside. In April 2006, the Chibi City Police Department detained and tortured Ms. Liu in the Mental Illness Division of the Puchi Textile Plant Hospital. She was beaten, injected with unknown drugs and force-fed unknown pills. Director Zhang of the Mental Illness Division along with other accomplices used high voltage batons and electrically charged needles to torture Ms. Liu for four hours. They use intravenous injection to infuse poison into her body, causing her whole body to turn black. She fell into a coma for two days and two nights. After she woke up she could not speak and became mute.

Ms. Liu's suffering is not a rare case. It is only a small part of the massive persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. It testifies to the inhuman and savage nature of the CCP. Those who read Minghui regularly will notice that the information of the persecution published on Minghui is provided by many different sources, covering a wide range of Chinese provinces. Over the past nine years of persecuting Falun Gong the CCP has forcefully implemented the policy of "Destroy them physically, bankrupt them financially, ruin their reputations." Under the instigation, protection and inhuman policy by the CCP, governmental units of all levels have been carrying out the order "beating them to death bares no consequences and cremate the bodies without checking their identities." 3,194 practitioners are confirmed dead as a result of the persecution, and millions have suffered inhuman physical and mental torture and maltreatment in various forced labor camps in China.

The CCP uses over a hundred different torture methods including: electric batons, handcuffs, shackles, cuffing behind the back, underground prison cells, under water prison cells, feces filled prison cells, "dead person bed," bench sitting, solitary lockup, forced sitting on an iron chair, tiger bench, long time of military style squatting, tying with rope, pushing iron nails under the finger nails, iron clamps on the body, pulling out finger nails with pliers, stabbing fingers with needles, pouring concentrated acid in noses, force-feeding through nostrils, force-feeding with pepper water, concentrated salt water or feces, pouring cold water on the body in winter, freezing while naked, forced standing under the hot sun, disallowing toilet use, sexual abuse, locking up females in male prison cells, forced abortion, rape, lockup in mental hospitals, injection of nerve damaging drugs, and electric needles. Some practitioners were even killed and their organs harvested and sold for profit while still alive, their remains cremated to eliminate evidence.

The CCP and Jiang's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners is systematically implemented, wide spread, and has lasted a long period of time. In specific inhuman torture incidents, the perpetrating policemen are of course responsible for their own actions. But the CCP is the behind-the-scene perpetrator, who manipulates, gives orders to, instigates, harbors and rewards those policemen. So the CCP is the root cause of the persecution and the real perpetrator of the crime. The appalling evil deeds are not merely an issue of "a few bad policemen" but are in fact supported by the CCP behind the scene.

The instigation by the CCP has caused inhuman torture incidents to happen frequently all over China. In October 2000, the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp authorities in Liaoning Province put 18 female practitioners stripped naked into cells filled with men. In May 2004, Ms. Gao Rongrong from Shenyang City was tortured with electric batons by the Longshan Forced Labor Camp guards Tang Yubao and Jiang Zhaohua for seven hours, seriously disfiguring her face. In late November 2005, the Hebei Province policeman He Xuejian raped two women practitioners. These widely reported cases are well known to the international community. But, they are just the tip of the iceberg. A lot more appalling cases remain unknown to the public and are happening all the time in the hidden dark rooms of various forced labor camps, detention centers, and prison cells across China.
