[Editors' note: In both Western and Chinese cultures, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Karmic Retribution for Writing Slogans Defaming Dafa
Xiao Shujun, male, 47 years old, was a teacher in Hongqi Primary School in Chaigang Township, Nongan County, Changchun City. In July 2006, Xiao Shujun wrote many slogans defaming Dafa on the exterior of people's residences. He was paid to do this by his cousin, the Residential District Head, Xiao Mou.
The slogans cursed Master Li Hongzhi and spread hatred towards Dafa. Because the walls where the slogans were written were very close to two middle schools and one primary school, they caused students and teachers who hadn't learned the truth about Dafa to regard Dafa with hostility. Local practitioners wrote a letter to Xiao Shujun, asking him to stop what he was doing, but he showed no sign of repentance.
At 11 p.m. on September 27, 2008, as Xiao Shujun was waiting for a car in the median on the Songyuan Changchun Highway, the left front wheel of a truck carrying timber fell off and rolled across the median onto the shoulder. The truck swerved and the tie-down rope broke. As a result, huge logs rolled off the truck and crushed Xiao Shujun, shattering his skull and breaking many bones. He died instantly.

- Liu Guijun, male, 42 years old, worked in the 610 Office from 1999 to 2004. In 2004, he was appointed head of Chengguan Police Station. Later he was transferred to the Appeals Office. He always participated in the persecution of Dafa disciples. On October 15, 2008, after 4 p.m., Li Guijun suddenly died.
- Ji Hongtao, male, 32 years old, worked at the Yuzhou Public Security Bureau. He always participated in the persecution of Dafa disciples. On October 11, 2008, Ji Hongtao suddenly died. He had just returned home from a public bath and hadn't even changed his clothes.
