These people started off as public servants, but under the intense pressure applied by the Jiang regime, they were pushed into persecuting Dafa disciples. Zhang Zongwei, Village Party Secretary, Hunan Province, Dies as a Result of Karmic Retribution
Zhang Zongwei was a former party secretary of Wanshan Village, Maping Township, Wugang City, Hunan Province. He died from a liver disease in late September 2008. Villagers said that his death was retribution for the wrong deeds that he committed. A year ago, on July 6, 2007, he reported two elderly practitioners who were talking to people about Falun Gong and caused them to be sent to a labor camp where they were tortured.
Retired Prison Guard from Hunan Province Dies
In the summer of 2008, Han Ping, a retired guard from No.1 Prison of Henan Province, was ill and was visited by two Falun Gong practitioners that she knew. They told her to remember that "Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good" so she would be blessed. Not only she did not believe it, she reported the two practitioners to higher authorities. Within a month, her condition worsened and she died.
