(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa is becoming popular on campuses in Taiwan. The seeds of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are blooming. We see bright futures and a new direction for education in teachers and students who have had the chance to learn Dafa.

At National Nei-Li Senior High School, there is a group of teachers and students who practice Falun Dafa. They are from various departments, grades, and classes. They gather together at lunchtimes to exercise and study the Fa. Sometimes they can be heard reading aloud from the book Zhuan Falun. They all look forward to their special meeting time after lunch.

Faculty Falun Dafa Club

National Nei-Li Senior High School has a ten year history, and the faculty Falun Dafa Club has been established for eight of those years. Many teachers from the departments of Chinese, English, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Natural Science practice Falun Dafa. Out of the fifty-seven total classes, many have more than one teacher who practices Falun Dafa. They conform with the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance while teaching their students. Students have said learning under these teachers is refreshing and enjoyable.

In addition to the usual teaching materials, these teachers show students how to be good people. Many students have asked to learn Falun Dafa themselves. After parental permission was granted, teachers and students met during their lunch breaks to study the teachings of Dafa and practice the exercises.

Every year more than a dozen students learn and continue to practice Falun Dafa. They have become healthier, happier, and some even improved their grades in school. Other teachers have been pleasantly surprised. Some of the parents have even started practicing as well.

Assistant Teacher Surprised at the Changes in Students' Minds and Bodies

A history teacher whose last name is Wu said that there was one student who had suicidal tendencies. A county specialized assistant teacher worked with the student for two years without success. After learning Falun Dafa, however, the student completely turned around. The assistant teacher was very surprised and still express his gratefulness to Teacher Wu.

Excellence in Grades and Characters

Junming is a student in his second year of high school. He takes Advanced Mathematics and Physics. He said he wasted more than a dozen years of life before learning Falun Dafa. Although in the past other people thought he was good, he said he was actually very jealous and selfish. He paid so much attention to his grades that he felt exhausted.

Now, after learning to practice Falun Dafa, he always tries to consider other people first. He is no longer jealous of others and now feels happiness and peace in his heart.

Improved Health and Better Grades

Peilun is a third-year student studying Fine Arts. Both her history and Chinese teachers are Falun Dafa practitioners. She knew Falun Dafa was good from her teachers, so she looked up the exercise online and later joined the lunch-time practice. Asked what changes she experienced during her first month of the practice, she said she became healthier and had stronger willpower, which will prepare her for her remaining schooling.

Ms. Song Yijun is a second year student at the English Education Department in National Hsinchu University of Education. She started practicing Falun Dafa during her third year at the high school. Not only did her health improve, but her grades jumped from the bottom of the class to the top. Other students thought it was unbelievable that she could enter National Hsinchu University of Education, and they asked her how she did it. She smiled and said, "Falun Dafa is wonderful!"

Clarifying the Truth - Thesis on Falun Dafa Topic

Teacher Su said that one of her students graduated and entered Social Studies at Yuan Ze University. The thesis topic given was "The Effect of Religion and Belief on Society." She was not a Falun Dafa practitioner but she chose the topic on Falun Dafa. She gave detailed report and analysis on how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) lies and persecutes Falun Dafa practitioners. Her thesis was well received by her professors and fellow students.

When she visited Teacher Su, she said, "Teacher, I didn't do anything for you. I only did what you taught me - clarifying the truth." During her last year in high school, she had difficulties in relationships with others. It was the method of "looking inward" from Falun Dafa that helped her.

Presenting the School to the Positive Education Evaluation

There have been many stories about the goodness of Falun Dafa among students and teachers at National Nei-Li Senior High School. This year when the Ministry of Education began an evaluation on positive education, the dean of the school decided to send in examples of how Falun Dafa had benefited the school.

Teacher Huang, a Chinese language teacher, said that the purpose of education is to let every student grow into a healthy adult. As an educator, when a teacher knows the value of life, he or she has a real ability to help students. When students also have this ability, education is in a good cycle and is successful.

Falun Dafa has five sets of simple exercises. The principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance not only benefited many teachers, but also saved many lost students.

Regarding positive education, Teacher Huang sincerely said that practicing Falun Dafa may be a way to change a person for the better, and that it benefits everyone. He hopes that many people in the educational field will have the opportunity to experience Dafa and find the way to return themselves and their students to their true selves.
