(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' note: In both Western and Chinese cultures, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The universe will reward acts that are in harmony with this principle, while doing things such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

According to a local press item in Heilongjiang Province, 37-year-old Han Xudong, a "seven star" division head at the Baoshan Police Department in Shuangyashan City, died in a car accident on August 17, 2008. The Communist regime honored him with the title of "martyr."

Six days before his death on August 11, 2008, Han Xudong head of the Xinankuang Police Station Hu Laowu and four plainclothes agents, including Sun Zhifeng and Zhao Kui, drove to the home of Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Dai Xiaoling. She was the only one home when they arrived. Two hours and forty-five minutes later, she fell out of her third-story window. (No information was revealed about what happened during that time.) She was rushed to the Honglong Hospital. A family member's signature was required before surgery could be done, but her family was not present. A police officer shouted, "She is a Falun Gong!" Everyone was frightened of the Communist Party's policy of "guilt by association", so no one did anything for more than three hours. She passed away that night.

Ms. Dai Xiaoling's brother and sister went to visit her at midnight and saw her home was a complete mess. What did these police officers do during those two hours and forty-five minutes? One witness said that Ms. Dai's final words were, "They forced me" and "I want to see my husband."

An elderly woman that lived next door to Ms. Dai cried when she was told of her death and said, "May those police receive retribution!"

The day after her death, 71 of her neighbors stepped forward and volunteered to serve as witnesses in case her family wanted to file a lawsuit against the police. However, the court officials refused to hear any case from the Dai family.

Ms. Dai's body is now in the Hongxinglong Crematory cold storage area. The police sent agents to watch the body and repeatedly pressured the family to agree to cremation, but the family firmly refused. Li Yanchun, Shuangyashan City Deputy Mayor, went to Xinankuang to deal with the aftermath.
