(Clearwisdom.net) Today's report relates persecution incidents that took place in 17 cities or counties in eight provinces. Twenty Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to brutal mistreatment during detention, and at least 23 practitioners were arrested.

1. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Chen Cuizhen Arrested
Ms. Chen Cuizhen was illegally arrested for the third time and sentenced to one year and three months of forced labor on June 6, 2007. When her family went to pick her up from the Shaanxi Province Women's Forced Labor Camp on September 5, 2008, officers from the labor camp informed them that personnel from the city's 610 Office had taken her away.
2. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Mr. Dajun Has Tuberculosis
Personnel from the Hongqi Police Station in Dehui City arrested Mr. Dajun on the night of February 17, 2008. He has been held for over seven months. Mr. Dajun was in court on September 23, 2008, and his family found he had tuberculosis then; however, detention center officials refused to release him despite his illnesses.
3. [Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Bian Lingyun Held in the Hexi Detention Center
Ms. Bian Lingyun was arrested before the Olympic Games and was first held in the Hexi Detention Center and then transferred to the Ganqika Detention Center. Ms. Bian suffers from an ovarian tumor, but the police transferred her back to the Hexi Detention Center on October 7, 2008.
4. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Two Women Practitioners Arrested in Front of the Wuhou District Court
Several practitioners were placed on trial in the Wuhou District Court in Chengdu City on October 10, 2008. The practitioners were Ms. Zhong Fangqiong, Mr. Liu Jia, Mr. Jiang Zonglin, Mr. Ding Zeyang, Mr. Zhu Renbin, Mr. Mao Kun, Ms. Jiang Hongyuan, Mr. Chen Shikun and Mr. Liu Bangcheng. More than 100 plainclothes and armed policemen kept the audience out of the courtroom. Two women practitioners also went there, but the police arrested them.
5. [Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Li Songying, Ms. Deng Xiangqun and a young practitioner from Ganzhou City were arrested on August 22, 2008. They are currently held in a detention center.

6. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhao Shigao Arrested
Personnel from the Weicheng Police Station arrested Mr. Zhao Shigao at the entrance to his home at 11:30 a.m. on October 9, 2008. He was placed in the Weifang City Detention Center. His home was ransacked and a computer was confiscated.
7. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liang Xin Arrested
Personnel from the Kuiwen Police Station arrested Ms. Liang Xin from the Information Complex on Siping Street on September 24, 2008. The police ransacked her home and confiscated several computers. Her current whereabouts are unknown.
8. [Xingzi County, Jiangxi Province] Police Arrested Several Practitioners under the Pretext of Olympic Games Security
Ten practitioners were arrested and their homes were ransacked on July 7, 2008. The practitioners were Ms. Shen Qingxiu, Ms. Shen Huoxiu, Ms. Tao Heying, Mr. Wu Weiping, Ms. Xu Linxiang, Mr. Wang Yizhi, Mr. Wang Chuandong, Ms. Wang Fangfang, Ms. Zhang Haiyu and Mr. Cheng Jisheng. The police placed the practitioners in the Xingzi County Detention Center. Mr. Cheng Jisheng and Mr. Wang Yizhi were sentenced to forced labor; Mr. Wang Chuandong and Ms. Wang Fangfang to two years of forced labor, but they are permitted to serve their sentence outside. Four practitioners are still held in the detention center.
In addition, police confiscated Ms. Xu Linxiang's car.

9. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Xing Bofeng and Mr. Wu Tingwen Facing Illegal Trials
Mr. Xing Bofeng from Yongqing County, Langfang City went to visit Mr. Wu Tingwen on June 26, 2008. Personnel from the city police department arrested them and put them in the county detention center. They are facing illegal trials on October 15, 2008.

10. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Yonghu Arrested
Mr. Wang Yonghu and Mr. Wang Qing'an from Laixi City distributed Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials on the night of October 9, 2008. Personnel from the Biguo Town Police Station in Zhaoyuan City arrested them in Miaojiakuang Village, Zhaoyuan City. Mr. Wang Qing'an escaped, but Mr. Wang Yonghu was put in the Zhaoyuan City Detention Center.
Four officers from the Malianzhuang Town Police Station in Laixi City and from the Biguo Town Police Station in Zhaoyuan City ransacked Mr. Wang Qing'an's home at 3:00 a.m. on October 10, 2008. Fortunately, Mr. Wang was not at home.

12. [Shandong Province] Mr. Lu Yutao Arrested from His Home
Personnel from the Linzi District Police Department broke into Mr. Lu Yutao's home in Dalu Village, Fenghuang Town on August 8, 2008. They ransacked the place and put Mr. Lu in the Fujia Detention Center in Zibo City.
13. [Tianjin] Ms. Gong Hui Sentenced to Forced Labor
Ms. Gong Hui from Nankai District, Tianjin was arrested on August 13, 2008. She was held for one month and four days and then transferred to the Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp in Tianjin on September 17, 2008. The police planned to sentence her to one year and three months of forced labor.
14. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Shang Shiying Arrested
Personnel from the Lubei District Police Department in Tangshan City arrested Ms. Shang Shiying on October 12, 2008. Ms. Shang is employed in the Worker's Hospital in Tangshan City and is presently being held in the Diaoyutai Police Station in the Lubei District. Police have ransacked Ms. Shang's home twice.

15. [Shanghai] Ms. Li Jinyu from Jing'anxincheng in the Xinan District Sentenced for the Second Time
16. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yu Hande Sentenced to Forced Labor Again
Mr. Yu Hande, 62 years old, is from Yujiamatou Village, Bozi Township in the Hanting District, Weifang City. He had been released in April 2008, but personnel from the city's 610 Office arrested him again and ransacked his home. Mr. Yu was put in the Shandong Province's No.2 Forced Labor Camp in July 2008.
17. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Guo Guihua Arrested
Seventy-year-old Ms. Guo Guihua is from the Jinxiang Community in the southern suburb of Zhengzhou City. She was arrested and her home was ransacked in early September 2008. Her whereabouts are unknown.
18. [Tianjin] Mr. Gong Jianguo Arrested and Home Ransacked
Sixty-year-old Mr. Gong Jianguo from Tianjin was arrested and his home was ransacked on October 12, 2008. Police confiscated Dafa books and truth-clarifying materials from his home.

20. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Miao Transferred to the Tangshan City Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Yang Miao from Shijiazhuang City was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor in July 2008. She was first held in the Hebei Province Women's Forced Labor Camp and then transferred to the Hebei Province No.1 Forced Labor Camp.
21. [Jiyuan City, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Xiaofeng Arrested
Personnel from the Jiyuan City Police Department, from the 610 Office and from the local police station arrested Ms. Wang Xiaofeng and ransacked her home on October 8, 2008. She is presently held in the city detention center.
22. [Sichuan Province] Ms. An Held in the Nanmusi Forced Labor Camp
Ms. An works in a restaurant in Jiangyou City, Sichuan Province that specialized in Mongolian Hot Pot cuisine. She was arrested and sentenced to one year and three months of forced labor and is held in the Nanmusi Women's Forced Labor Camp in Zizhong City, Sichuan Province.
