(Clearwisdom.net) Today's persecution involved eight provinces, and twelve cities and counties. Twenty-seven practitioners have been jailed and persecuted, and at least eight practitioners were unlawfully arrested.

1. [Qi County, Henan Province] Mr. Liu Zhiquan Arrested

The County National Security Team and the Shiyuan Village Police Substation arrested Mr. Liu Zhiquan, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Liuzhai Village, Shiyuan Xiang.

2. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qu Weilan Detained

Ms. Qu Weilan, a villager from the Xideng Village, Tushan Town, Laizhou City, is 54 years old. She went out on December 26, 2007, and failed to return.

On December 28, 2007, several unidentified people appeared and forced her husband to sign a blank sheet of paper. Ms. Qu is currently being held at the Detention Center.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Qiu Jinrong Unlawfully Arrested

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Qiu Jinrong, over 50, who resides in the Gaojiayuan Residential Area of the Chaoyang District in Beijing, was arrested from her son's home in Jiangtai Village, Chaoyang District, on December 24, 2007. Her husband, who does not practice Falun Dafa, was also arrested. The police confiscated some of her belongings, including a computer.

On November 29, 2007, officers from the Wafangdian Public Security Bureau, the Lizhen Police Substation, and the Jinzhou District Zhanqian Police Substation forcefully arrested Ms. Feng Shuzhi from her home and are holding her in Wafangdian Detention Center. Her family was not allowed to visit her. This is the fourth time that Ms. Feng Shuzhi has been arrested.

6. [Luzhou, Sichuan Province] Practitioners Including Ms. Deng Wanying Arrested and Their Homes Searched

At 8:00 a.m. on December 26, 2007, Ms. Deng Wanying from Texin Town, Longmatan District, was suddenly forced into a police vehicle on the street. Later, Ms. Deng's home was searched. The homes of Mr. Zhao Zhaoquan and another practitioner named Gu were also searched The three practitioners were all released and have returned home.

7. [Tanghai County, Hebei Province] Practitioners Including Ms. Jin Ping, Ms. Dong Ruifeng, and Mr. Wu Junshi Facing Trial

8. [Jiangyou, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xu Zhongrong Sentenced to Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Xu Zhongrong was a practitioner from Jiangyou City. Her home was searched in October 2007. She is believed to have been "illegally sentenced" to one year forced labor in Nanmushi Forced Labor Camp.

9. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Fu Shaozhen Arrested

Local police arrested Ms. Fu Shaozhen and took her to the Nanhu Street Police Substation in the Wuchang District, Wuhan City, at around 8:00 p.m. on December 25, 2007. She was later sent to the Wuhan No. 1 Detention Center and detained there for 15 days.

Ms. Fu Shaozhen is 64 years old. When she was arrested, she had no money with her and it was very cold out. Her family looked everywhere for her until they finally found out about the illegal arrest from a local resident.

10. [Shandong Province] Ms. Sheng Shuli Taken to Wancun Forced Labor Camp in Zibo City

Zhenjiacun police arrested Ms. Sheng Shuli, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Zhugou Village, Zhugou Town, Pingdu City, Shandong Province, when she went to clarify the truth in Jiudian Town and Zhenjiacun. She was later sent to the Pingdu Detention Center at Jiudian Police Station for further persecution. On December 27, she was sent to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in Zibo City.

11. [Liquan County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Feng Jianying Becomes Homeless as a Result of the Persecution

Ms. Feng Jianying, 49, is a practitioner from Xibeiguan Village, Chengguan Town, Liquan County Seat, Xianyan City, Shaanxi Province. Recently Ms. Feng was harassed and her home was searched because a 610 Office agent reported her. They tried to arrest her but failed. Ms. Feng was forced to become homeless, leaving her critically ill, 83-year-old mother bedridden without any care.

12. [Guangxi Province] The Persecution of Practitioners from Tianyang County

The former Tianyang County Party School held a brainwashing session to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. About 40 practitioners were subjected to the brainwashing. Mr. Huang Jian, an employee of the Tianyang County Fees Collection; Mr. Luo Chong, substitute teacher in Tianyang County; Ms. Huang Qingxia, kindergarten teacher in Tianyang County; Ms. Luo Hong, an employee of the Nanhua Paper Mills, formerly known as Tianyang County Paper Mills; Ms. A Feng, an employee of the Tianyang Dying and Weaving Factory; Mr. He Qiang, Tianyang Minzhu Middle School teacher; Mr. Lu Gangxue; Mr. Huang Zhuxue, a farmer; and others were illegally sentenced to terms ranging from six months to 18 months. In addition, over20 twenty practitioners, including Ms. Liang Hong, Ms. Zhang Fengrong, Ms. Xiong Lian'e, Ms. Huang Caifeng, Ms. Zhong Jie, Ms. Luo Fengyi, and Xiao Huang were unlawfully detained.
