(Clearwisdom.net) I used to work in the medical field. I began to cultivate Falun Dafa in 1996, and my life began anew. Through Dafa cultivation my heart was purified. Before the persecution began, I kept telling others how much I benefited from Dafa. The wonderful changes in my heart and body were a manifestation of the power of Dafa.
After the persecution began, under Teacher's protection and guidance, I firmly advanced from personal cultivation into Fa rectification cultivation. I understand my duty to save sentient beings and assist Teacher in Fa rectification. I take advantage of every opportunity to clarify the truth to people face to face.
1. Using my special skills to bridge the gap while clarifying the truth
The health clinic where I worked was always full of people, and no matter who came, I always treated them well and without discrimination. Not only did I help patients with their pain, but I also used my righteousness and benevolence to influence everyone: I used righteous thoughts to eliminate the poison in their minds. I let every patient know that Falun Dafa is good, and "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance" is good!
Among the people I interacted with, some were not patients, but secret agents that had come to monitor me. However, after they learned the truth, they no longer felt right about coming to monitor me anymore.
A street committee director once told me that she wanted to learn Falun Gong after she learned the truth. I told her that Fa study and cultivating the heart are as important as practicing the exercises, and I suggested that she hide the books that she had previously confiscated. The next morning, she brought a big bag of books to me and asked, "Are these the right books?" I nodded with pleasure.
On one occasion there was a policeman who had been transferred from the army. After meeting with him several times, he sighed with emotion and said, "You are such a good person. Why do they try to monitor your actions?" Later he was assigned to another area, and when the local police planned to raid a fellow practitioner's home, he warned the practitioner in advance and protected the practitioner.
Once, several young policewomen came to my clinic to be treated for obesity. One of them was unmarried and always worried about her poor appearance. She repeatedly said that she admired my health and happiness. I told them that I used to be a late stage cancer patient, and that it was through practicing Falun Gong that I recovered. All of them were surprised and understood the truth. They all asked me to be careful of my safety.
My therapy skills are the result of many years of research and practice. Prior to cultivation, I viewed my skills as a means to achieve fame and personal gain. After I began cultivation, however, I utilized them as bridge for clarifying the truth with the faculty and patients.
2. Clarifying the truth to far away relatives
Ever since I retired, I have had more time. Many of my relatives live over 2,000 kilometers away. After eight trips to see them, and several years of effort, the number of relatives that know the truth and have quit the CCP is increasing. I have made contact with everyone, from blood relatives to in-laws, in the same generation to different generations, and those in my father's family as well as my mother's family. As more of them learn the truth, it spreads further and further.
When clarifying the truth to relatives, I always tell them specifically about how Dafa cured my cancer and that Dafa is righteous. I disclose the evil essence of the CCP and its lies. I tell them that the truth will be known one day, and that the persecution of goodness will suffer karmic retribution. I advise them to support Dafa and stay far away from evil. For different professions and ages, I use various angles to display the goodness of Dafa. I use modern scientific data to explain the changes in my body after I began cultivation, and I also explain the power of Dafa from the angle of physiology and acupuncture. I eliminate all of their warped atheistic views. Most of my relatives have chosen to withdraw from the CCP after understanding the truth.
In the beginning of my cultivation, I promoted Dafa out of gratitude. I gradually understood the duty of Dafa disciples during the Fa rectification period. In the process, I had many shortcomings. I realized that I harbored a lot of selfish and egotistical attachments. However, along the way, our great and benevolent Teacher has not given up on me, and has continually guided me.
