Mr. Cao Dong is one of the Falun Gong practitioners that met with the European Parliament Vice-President to expose the persecution. He is now suffering brutal persecution in jail and trying to request his wife to hire a lawyer for him. The Chinese Communist Party is trying to stop this from happening and trying to prevent him from contacting international media through intimidating his wife.

On October 18, 2007, Falun Gong practitioner Zhu Guilin, from Shimen County, Hunan Province was arrested again by the 610 Office. In spite of sharp criticism from the bystanders who witnessed the illegal arrest and the protest of her family, the personnel forcibly took Zhu Guilin to Changde City Brainwashing Center.

During the past six months, several Falun Gong practitioners in Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province were arrested by the police of respective areas. The Falun Gong practitioners' homes were ransacked and personal belongings were confiscated. The oldest one arrested is in the age of 70th.

For carrying a copy of Zhuan Falun with him, Falun Gong practitioner Mr.Wei Jianzhou of Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province, was arrested and imprisoned in Xindian Forced Labor Camp, where he started a hunger strike to protest. Guards then ordered drug addict inmates to torture him.

Mr. Bai's family reports that, after his death in prison, his body was covered with bruises and other signs of torture, but he was immediately cremated by the authorities.

Mr. Huang Fujun became unconscious as a result of forced-feeding in the detention center. The police let his family take him back home while he was dying. He passed away three days after his release.

Over 150 women Falun Gong practitioners are jailed in Hebei Province Women's Forced Labor Camp. Some of them have been on hunger strikes and in critical condition.
