(Clearwisdom.net) It was Norman's first experience seeing the Chinese New Year Spectacular, presented by Divine Performing Arts. Norman, who works in computer science in Montreal, was brought to the show by his wife, as a gift to him. Here is what he said in a short interview:

"Its really beautiful, colorful, and there are really a lot of nice gestures--it's really amazing to see that."

When asked how he heard about the show, Norman replied, "Well, actually, it is my birthday and this was a gift from my wife. Its a beautiful gift. I wasn't expecting [it]. I didn't know she would choose something like this. So it is quite a surprise, but I enjoyed it."

When asked what he learned about Chinese culture from the show, he replied, "Well, actually, all the traditions, and from the beginning. I don't want to say folklore--the whole time-line. Different people there, because it comes from the North of China to South of China--different locations. So I think its absolutely amazing! Its really colorful. At the same time it is quite simple. You see the people and the color, and that is what I liked."

When asked for three words to describe the show, Norman replied: "Peaceful, Nice, Colorful."

"The music, the way they dance together. The way it makes you feel is as if you are in a relaxed environment."

Steve Boulanger, an Attorney, Appreciated the Peacefulness of the Show

Steve Boulanger saw the beauty and peacefulness expressed in traditional Chinese culture. He said about the show, "I loved it very much! Very colorful, very lovely, and the dancing, the girls dancing [was] very beautiful... I saw it on the Internet. Also the fact that I'm with Kahn, and I thought that she would enjoy, particularly, a show about Chinese traditions."

When asked what he learned about Chinese culture, Steve replied, "Spiritual thoughts, deep spiritual thoughts. Comes [across] influenced a lot by Buddhists, which is I think a very peaceful religion.

From what we see in the show and from [the] general knowledge I have about various religions, I respect very highly the peacefulness in Buddhism."

High School Student Gino Came with His Family to See the Show

Gino, who is in high school and who loves Chinese food, came to see the show with his family. Here are his comments about the show: "Well I like the culture. I love the costumes. I really liked the chopsticks...Besides the chopsticks, I like the fans. [I liked most] the one with the drums, the one with the chopsticks was really nice. I've never seen that before."

When asked how he felt about the performance with the Falun Dafa practitioners, Gino replied: "If that's happening in China, I don't find it right exactly. Its really unbelievable."

When asked where they heard about the show, Gino replied, "Here, at another show we went to. It was "The Nutcracker," and we saw the sign up for this new year show, and we decided that we wanted to come see this." When asked what he thought so far, he replied, "Well it's different. I like for instance the chopsticks, you don't see chopsticks, people using the chopsticks to drum. Thats very nice; different. I like that. Also the way they use the ribbons to dance."
