Mayor of Phoenix proclaimed "Divine Performing Arts Day"
The mayor of the city of Phoenix Phil Gordon proclaimed January 14, 2008 as Divine Performing Arts Day in Phoenix. The proclamation stated, "This world-class production will take place at the Dodge Theatre in downtown Phoenix;" "the Chinese New Year Spectacular is not only entertainment, but a valuable and gracious gesture toward cross-cultural understanding;" "the Chinese New Year Spectacular will enhance the cultural and economic vitality of our City of Phoenix, Arizona, and promote tolerance and understanding among different cultures and races."
Arizona State Senator John Huppenthal expressed gratitude in his congratulatory letter to Divine Performing Arts company for bringing 2008 Chinese New Year Spectacular to Phoenix. Arizona State Senator Meg Burton-Cahill stated that he had learned that Divine Performing Arts will revive in every performance traditional virtues such as kindness, goodness and sincerity. In as short as several years, the audience of the show increased from 10,000 people in five cities to 600,000 people in 65 cities. He welcomed NTDTV to bring Chinese New Year Spectacular.
