(Clearwisdom.net) I am an older Falun Dafa practitioner. Through practicing Falun Dafa, I have been cured of over ten illnesses; including the difficult ones that can't be cured by modern medicine: chronic nephritis, high blood pressure, coronary disease and others. Now my body is light, and I am full of energy. I am grateful to Teacher and Dafa from my innermost being.
Teacher says in "A Suggestion" in Essentials for Further Advancement II:
"In other dimensions, their physical bodies are being transformed into God-bodies. Despite this, when Dafa is about to consummate you, you are unable to step forward from humanness, and when the evil persecutes Dafa you are unable to stand up to validate Dafa. These people who only want to take from Dafa and not give for Dafa are, in the eyes of Gods, the worst beings."
I know that Teacher gave me a second life. If I had not practiced, I would have died already. When Dafa is being persecuted and falsely charged, as Dafa practitioners, shouldn't we speak out? Shouldn't we step forward to validate Dafa?
When I clarify the truth, I normally start with saying, "Do you want to be free of disease? Do you want to be healthy? Do you want long life?" Most people would answer happily: "Who would not want that?" So, I tell them these things can be achieved by practicing Falun Gong. Some people ask: "Is it true?" I tell them it is true. They may ask, "Isn't the government prohibiting people to practice?" They may also bring up some of the propaganda that they heard. I then tell them the true situation according to their own situation and ability to understand.
When I first started doing truth clarification, I began with my family members, good friends, neighbors, and people who I am familiar with. Gradually, I was not afraid of talking to strangers. In the process, the majority of the people I talked to were convinced by my explanation. Only a few do not believe me, no matter what I say. Some people understand when I speak to them face-to-face, and they acknowledge that Dafa is good. But a few days later, after watching a slanderous program on TV, they become muddle-headed again, doubting what I told them. So I have to talk to them repeatedly to help them truly understand.
I tirelessly explain the truth in this way every day. I feel that saving people is like fighting a fire. I think that being a Dafa practitioner but not stepping forward to validate Dafa is the same as seeing somebody in danger and doing nothing to help. People who do not know the truth are in a crucial situation of life or death. Shouldn't we make the best use of our time to rescue people from danger?
Teacher says:
"For a Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple, personal liberation is not the goal of cultivation: when you came, saving sentient beings was your great aspiration, and that is the responsibility and mission history has bestowed upon you in Fa-rectification. Thus great numbers of beings are to be saved by you." ("Let Go of Human Attachments and Save the World's People")
These words give me courage to clarify the truth even more, and they increase my confidence in truth clarification. We came here to save them; that is our duty. Therefore, regardless of the attitude of family members and sentient beings, I clarify the truth to them every day.
Some people whom I had clarified the truth to told my husband. He was very angry. He wickedly reproved me and even cursed me. I can't remember how many times this happened in the past several years. But I continue to clarify the truth as usual. I also look within myself for shortcomings when things like this happen. When I find it, I instantly rectify myself and don't allow the evil forces to take advantage. The process of clarifying the truth is certainly the process of improving my xinxing. It is a process of looking inward to find shortcomings and urging myself to be diligent. Whenever I can, I go to the streets to clarify the truth to people. A slight shortcoming can be exploited by the evil forces, so my righteous thoughts must be sufficient and strong at all times. Of course, we also need to pay attention to safety.
Some people cannot understand me and say, "You are so bold. You dare to tell anybody and are not afraid of being caught." I tell them: "Afraid of what? I tell them that Falun Dafa is good, and that it teaches us how to be good people. Isn't it true that the more good people there are, the better? We want you to know that Falun Dafa is good, and that practicing Falun Dafa makes people healthy in mind and body. Its benefits are too many to be listed. If everyone practiced Dafa, nobody would commit bad deeds. Wouldn't society be stable, then? Shouldn't such a great Dafa be told to others? Shouldn't we help them understand that the media propaganda is fabricated and false?" After hearing this, they usually understand.
I go out to clarify the truth almost every day. Although I do not speak to many people daily, I have the heart for saving people and save as many as I can, one by one, persistently. Many little drops make a river. I keep at it and every day more people learn the truth.
Some people do not want to listen once they hear the words "Falun Gong." Some even have a bad attitude and say, "Don't speak to me about this. I don't believe in anything." They would walk away, refusing to hear any more. In the beginning, when I met these kinds of people, I was truly dejected. I thought that since they are not willing to listen, I should let them be. Why should I be so pushy? Along with studying the Fa further and improving my "xinxing", I no longer think that way. This is not being pushy. It is the compassion and mercy of our practitioners.
Teacher says:
"As for whether the result is good, don't look at the other party, it comes from your minds. If you want it to be good then it will be good. And if you don't intend to make it good, or if your mind is unsteady, then it won't be easy to rectify things. In other words, you need to have strong righteous thoughts. If you're thinking, 'I'm truly saving you. I'm truly telling you the facts,' then the result will be good." ("Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference")
Hence when I meet such people again, I sincerely tell them: "I do not want a cent from you. I only want you to know the truth, so that you can avoid disaster. It's like buying insurance without spending one cent, and being safe forever." Some of these people indeed changed their minds and quit the CCP, and repeatedly thanked me.
When I first started advising people to quit the party, after making them aware of the truth about Falun Dafa, I would tell them the relevant details of the "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party." In addition, Teacher says:
"If a person doesn't withdraw from it, he is a part of it, one of its particles, and a part of its composition, and he will become a target for elimination by all gods." ("Turning the Wheel Towards the Human World")
Based on this Fa from Teacher, I speak using simple language that can be understood by ordinary people. Most of them happily withdraw from the party. Certainly, clarifying the truth and advising people to quit the CCP are directly related to each other. My personal understanding is that when the other person already knows the truth about Falun Dafa, the result is relatively good when advising them to quit the party. If they do not acknowledge the truth about Dafa, it is difficult to convince them to quit the party. Initially, I eagerly hoped for success and straight away mentioned quitting the party after clarifying the truth. The result was not very good.
There are also people who understand the truth and agree that Falun Dafa is good, but are not willing to withdraw from the party. I say to them; "I am not doing this for myself. It is totally for your benefit, and I'm even taking the risk of being arrested." Some people actually understand at this point. Some replied even before I finished, saying; "Indeed, what you are trying to do is truly for my benefit. Quickly give me an alias and help me quit!" At this moment, I am truly happy for another life obtaining salvation.
I tell those who have quit; "Go and tell your relatives and close friends, because I do not know them. They are relying on you to tell them. You can help them withdraw on the Internet or find other Falun Dafa practitioners to help you." One person withdrew from the party and got her husband and children to quit as well. There are many people like this. When one quits, they lead their relatives to quit too.
Through truth clarification and urging people quit the party, my xinxing improved a lot. For a period of time, I talked less and seemed unable to go in depth. I thought: "Why am I afraid to talk? Is it for my own safety that I do not dare to save others?" When I realized it was time to improve my xinxing, I dared to talk to those who I had originally avoided, and the results were the same as before.
Teacher tells us to put validating Dafa first in any environment. Therefore, wherever I go, I think of validating Dafa. During a twenty-day visit to my hometown, I convinced around seventy of my relatives, friends and neighbors to withdraw from the CCP. During the process, many of them said that they had already read the truth-clarification fliers or pamphlets and had been told by others about quitting the party. Because I have the heart of saving people, Teacher made arrangements and guided me. I am so grateful! Sharing and exchanging views with fellow practitioners has also led to mutual improvements, because every Falun Dafa practitioner is a Dafa particle.
Teacher said in "Teaching the Fa at the Fa Conference at the U.S. Capital":
"People with predestined relationships and those who can be saved can be made to--made to by Master's Law Bodies, righteous gods, or the immense field that Dafa has formed in the world--appear right before you in any of a range of settings, providing them with a chance to learn the truth. But you have to carry it out, and it doesn't work if you're not out there doing things. Even though the overall state of affairs has undergone huge changes, the pressure [of what lies] before you hasn't lessened. Saving people right now is an urgent matter; there are still many people who haven't seen the truth."
I have a deep feeling about this paragraph of Teacher's Fa. When I was doing truth-clarification before, many people with predestined relationships quite easily believed in Dafa, but some moved to other cities. I thought: "If I meet such people again, they will believe the truth for sure." Later they really did come to me, one after another, and easily withdrew from the party.
There is still a lot of pressure in doing truth-clarification. In the process of clarifying the truth, people often tell me to pay attention to my safety. Some fellow practitioners even worry about me being persecuted. Practitioners in other cities are frequently arrested, so many people worry about me, and I was arrested once as well.
"When you conduct yourselves righteously Master can do anything for you. If your righteous thoughts are truly strong, if you're able to put aside the thought of life and death, and if you're solid and unshakable like diamond, then those evil beings won't dare to touch you, because they know that other than killing you any type of persecution will be useless. The evil will have no choice but to leave you alone. If in this scenario the evil still persecutes you, then Master will show no leniency. Master has countless Law Bodies, and on top of this, there are countless righteous Gods helping me do things, and they will directly eliminate the evil, too. Didn't I tell you before that each of you Dafa disciples has eight types of Heavenly Law-Guardians protecting you? It's all because you haven't done well enough that all these Gods are being restrained by the old cosmos's Fa-principles and can't do anything, despite their really wanting to help."(Touring North America to Teach the Fa)
I often remind myself with this paragraph of Teacher's Fa to cultivate and carry it out. Indeed, I have Teacher and Dafa, so what do I have to fear? The safest way for us is to maintain sufficient righteous thoughts and not allow interference by any external factors. We should carry it out according to Teacher's requirements.
Teacher requires us to study the Fa more in order to do the three things well. As Teacher's students, how can we not put Teacher's Fa in an important position? I also deeply realized that only by studying the Fa well are we able to clarify the truth and save sentient beings well. I go out to clarify the truth and advise people to quit the party in the day time, and I make the best use of my time in the morning and night to study Zhuan Falun and Teacher's other lectures, as well as "Minghui Weekly."
When I read fellow practitioners' articles in Minghui Weekly about memorizing Zhuan Falun, I thought; "I am so old. I probably won't be able to memorize it." Afterwards, because I often read such articles on Minghui Weekly, I thought; "I am a practitioner. Teacher has already opened up my wisdom. The age of a practitioner doesn't make any difference. If others can memorize it, why can't I?" So, I became determined to memorize it. According to fellow practitioners' experience, I memorized one paragraph after another. I did it very slowly in the beginning, gradually becoming faster and faster until finally I memorized the whole book of Zhuan Falun. I am about to memorize it a second time.
On the path of cultivation, I still have many shortcomings. Sometimes I am not able to concentrate during sending forth righteous thoughts and practicing the exercises. It indicates that I have not cultivated myself well. I shall be more diligent and closely follow the progress of Fa-rectification and be a qualified Fa-rectification period Dafa practitioner.
