(Clearwisdom.net) On August 25-26, 2007, two rallies were held in Chinatown of central Toronto and New Forest Square in Scarborough, east of Toronto, to support 25 million brave Chinese who have openly announced their withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Representatives from the Toronto Quitting the CCP Service Center, Falun Gong practitioners, Falun Gong supporters, and many local residents participated in the activities. The Divine Land Marching Band was invited to perform at the two-day events. The rich activities drew the attention of many passersby. People who learned the truth signed their names on a petition to support Quitting the CCP and to end the persecution of Falun Gong in China

Many people signed their names in support of the Chinese people quitting the CCP and denouncing the persecution of Falun Gong

Jinan Liu from the Toronto Quitting the CCP Service Center said that 25 million brave Chinese have either directly or with help from the Service Center, broken through the great firewall and openly announced that they quit the CCP at the largest overseas Chinese media, The Epoch Times. This shows the will of Chinese people, who no longer want the Communist Party. A new page of Chinese history will start soon. Behind the 25 million people, there are the wills of 250 million, 500 million or one billion Chinese. The Chinese Communist Party is dying. In this world, no other authority is as cruel and corrupt as the Chinese Communist Party. The CCP may collapse tomorrow, or next month, but that day is coming very soon.

Li Yang is a volunteer at the Quitting the CCP Service Center. He met two former servicemen of the Special Forces from Beijing at the rally in Chinatown. They said they went abroad privately and when the CCP authorities found out, they threatened their parents in China. They were worried and walked to Chinatown purposelessly. They came upon the rally and decided to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party, Youth League and Young Pioneers after obtaining information about the process. Later, they joined the rally to hold a banner and distribute truth-clarification materials.

Ms. Wu is from Shanghai. She saw the rally in Chinatown and told Li Yang that she was a classmate of Jiang Zemin. "I knew he was bad. I knew it was Jiang Zemin who started the persecution of Falun Gong." she said. She discussed with Li why Jiang and the CCP wanted to persecute Falun Gong. Later, she quit the CCP with her real name and said to Li, "Good luck, and your wishes will soon become true."

Mr. Huynh was from Vietnam and had a lot of experiences with the Communist Party. He strongly supported quitting the CCP.

Mr. Cui was a passerby. He agreed that many people were brainwashed by the CCP and mistakenly believe that China and Communist Party are one and the same.

Since Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper will go to the APEC meeting in Australia in early September, Canadian Falun Gong practitioners are asking him to request that the CCP stop the persecution of Falun Gong when he meets with Hu Jintao, and they are collecting signatures from the public to support this effort. Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Ding said that a Chinese man named Jeff came to him and asked him to sign the petition form. Jeff told him that he knows the evil nature of the CCP and knows that Falun Gong is being persecuted. Mr. Ding said, "The persecution ought to end now. I believe you. Heaven is going to destroy the CCP. I also believe I can see that day. Good luck."
