In Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province, practitioner Mr. Chai Shuhu, who resides on Ranghu, Street was illegally arrested. For more than a month he was detained in the No. 3 Detention Center. The police tried to extort a confession from him by force. Mr. Chai has become so extremely emaciated that he barely looks like a human being.
Mr. Chai Shuhu's mother is nearly 70 years old. She wanted to visit her son. She and Mr. Chai's wife went to the center many times but never got an honest reply.
Mr. Chai is 41 years old this year. He worked in public transportation at the Harbin City Railway Bureau on Ranghu Street in Daqing City. In November 1999, his employer had him arrested and forced him into a brainwashing center for half a month, all because he signed his name on a flag that said, "Falun Dafa is good." Afterwards, the local train station police frequently went to harass him.
On the morning of April 29, 2007, Wang Bingsheng and ten others from the Lamadian sub-bureau of the Daqing Police Station broke into the Ranghu Street train station's signal room. They arrested Mr. Chai Shuhu, handcuffed him, and put him into a car. Then they searched his house. Mr. Chai was taken to the Lamadian Sub-bureau Police Station before being sent to the Daqing City No. 3 Detention Center.
Mr. Chai's mother became ill from anxiety. The pressure his son faced due to Mr. Chai's wrongful arrest for supporting goodness took its toll on him. His grades in junior high school deteriorated.
