(Clearwisdom.net) On July 22, 2007, the annual Washington DC Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference was held at DAR Constitution Hall. About 4,000 practitioners from all over the world attended this grand event.
At the conference, 16 Western and Eastern practitioners from Europe, Asia and North America shared their experiences in studying the Fa, improving "xinxing", clarifying the truth and saving sentient beings.
Look Inward, From Human to Divine Being
Ms. Jia from New York shared her experiences of eliminating the attachment to self and looking inward during conflicts. She said: "I am not afraid of conflicts anymore, because I know clearly how to handle them--by looking inward." After looking inward and correcting herself, she apologized to a fellow practitioner with whom she'd had conflicts the previous year. She also shared her understanding of the Fa with that practitioner, which broke the ice between them.
Clarifying the truth to the precious Chinese People
Ms. Li of Hong Kong has been clarifying the truth to Chinese tourists at a tourist spot. At this site, practitioners have convinced 5416 Chinese tourists to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations from December 8, 2006 to July 12, 2007.
Once, a tour bus full of Chinese government officials arrived on the site. Ms. Li stood at the door of the bus and clarified the truth to the officials. Finally, she said to them: "You are all Chinese. This is the chance for those who don't want to go to down with the CCP to quit. If you agree to quit the party, then nod, and I will help you." Six officials in the first several rows nodded to show that they wanted to quit. She got off the bus and saw several people in the back rows nodding to her and pointing to themselves, which meant that they wanted to quit, too.
Clarifying the truth to mainstream Western society
Ms. Peng from Texas shared her experiences of clarifying the truth to American government officials. She encountered difficulties when she tried to clarify the truth to a state congressman, but she was not frustrated. With great patience and compassion, she won the congressman's support and respect. She said: "During that process, I sensed that Master has arranged everything for us. We will achieve our goal as long as we don't let up."
Nicholas from Washington D.C. shared his experiences of clarifying the truth to government officials. He said: "It is very easy for me to have the thought that I am trying to gain something from them. I must put down those everyday person's notions. Deep in my heart, I know what I am giving them is incredibly wonderful. I should treat them with pure compassion. I must make them feel that I am here for their own good. Whether I can achieve this or not depends my cultivation status and how well I study the Fa."
Ms. Tang from Germany shared her experience of hosting "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" Art Exhibitions. Practitioners have held more than 80 exhibitions in Europe. The introductions to the art works have been translated into dozens of languages. She said: "In one exhibition, a Western lady carefully viewed every painting. She cried. Finally she held a lotus flower in front of Master Li's portrait for a long time."
A Christian, who is a retired British military official, said to practitioners at an exhibition that most of the famous art works in Europe are about Christianity, but people will see that Falun Gong art works will be remembered forever, just like those famous art works, because they record an unforgettable history.
