(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of July 14, 2007, a group of Falun Gong practitioners appealed to legislative committee members Cheng Chao-ming, Pan Meng-an, and Liao Wan-ju. Before July 1, Falun Gong practitioners went to Hong Kong to participate in the protest of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution. Many were denied entry, detained and deported. After learning these facts, the members signed the bill in the legislative committee requesting a response from the Hong Kong government and condemning Hong Kong's violation of the human rights of the Taiwanese people.

Mr. Qiu Chi-wen of the CIPFG (Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong) Asian Branch explained to the legislative committee members that the CIPFG mad three requests of the CCP regime on May 30. Immediately release all detained Falun Gong practitioners, stop the persecution of human rights lawyers and people including Gao Zhisheng, Li Hong and others who support and safeguard Falun Gong practitioners' rights, and accept an unrestricted independent investigation from the international community of organ harvesting. If the CCP is unable to make a satisfactory reply to the CIPFG by August 8, 2007, the organization will join ongoing efforts to boycott the 2008 Olympics.

Legislative committee members Cheng Chao-ming and Pan Meng-an signed to join the Human Rights Torch Global Relay after hearing the introduction. Legislative committee member Liao Wan-ju signed the condemnation bill and supported the activity which called for an end of the unprecedented brutal persecution of Falun Gong.

Mr. Cheng Chao-ming emphasized that he believed that cooperative efforts of practitioners and people of justice would lessen the CCP's ignorance of human rights. He encouraged the practitioners to keep up their efforts.

These members condemned Hong Kong's deportation of practitioners prior to July 1, 2007.
