(Clearwisdom.net) Around the months of June and July, the Xiong County 610 Office and Public Security Bureau officers are putting together a special task force targeting Falun Gong practitioners. It was further reported that a special fund was allocated for this task force. A significant sum of money was to be awarded for each "successful" case. In other words, through monetary rewards, law enforcement officers are encouraged to commit crimes, arrest law-abiding citizens, and extort money from them.

On May 17, 2007, more than twenty officials invaded practitioner Mr. Zhai Xiaofeng's home in Duangang District, claiming that someone had "filed a report" - a common excuse. They arrested Mr. Zhai, took his Falun Dafa books, and extorted money from his family. Mr. Zhai was finally released after a 15-day detention.

On June 6, in the afternoon, officers invaded practitioner Ms. Hao Lijun's home. Ms. Hao was away at work but her son was home, taking a nap. In her absence, they ransacked her home and took her Dafa books and her son's computer. They also took her son, a non-practitioner, into custody. As soon as Ms. Hao heard of her son's arrest, she anxiously went to the police station and offered to take his place. At the same time, the police ransacked the house that she bought for her son.

On June 7, the Xiong County Political and Law Enforcement Committee held a meeting in the morning to discuss orders to intensify the persecution of Falun Gong. On the same day, 66-year-old practitioner Ms. Xie Suying, a resident of Xiong County, was arrested. Currently, both Ms. Hao and Ms. Xie are being held in the Xiong County Detention Center.

On June 7, the police stormed into and ransacked a practitioner's home in Longwan Village, Xiong County, at 10:00 p.m. They turned everything upside down, searching even the haystacks. The home of the family of the practitioner's son was also searched.
