(Clearwisdom.net) On June 23-24, 2007, the annual "Taste of Asia 2007" Street Festival was held in Markham, which is near Toronto, Canada. The event featured a martial arts performance, automobile exhibition, singing contest, basketball game, folk dance performances and so on, attracting many visitors. Not far down the street was the Toronto Service Center for Quitting the CCP.

The Toronto Service Center for Quitting the CCP has helped people quit the CCP for over a month here. Today, many people who visited the Taste of Asia 2007 came to the service center. From time to time, some people would make statements announcing their withdrawals from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.

Ms. Wei from Shandong Province was a nurse in China. When she enlisted in the army, she joined the CCP as well. She said that she had heard about quitting the CCP while in China, but did not know how to do it. She had just arrived in Toronto and was glad to take this opportunity to quit the CCP. She also said that she was clear about the nature of the CCP and also knew about the CCP's brutal persecution of Falun Gong. Before leaving, she asked where there was a practice site, because she wanted to learn to practice Falun Gong.

A young man named Liang was from Guangzhou. He decided to quit the Youth League and the Young Pioneers organizations. He asked a volunteer if he could speak on the stage. After being given permission, he took a microphone and read aloud the "The Epoch Times' Solemn Statement" and "A Letter to Gao Zhisheng." Someone asked him, "Aren't you afraid of the CCP's spies?" He said, "What's there to be afraid of? Gao Zhisheng is not afraid while he is in China, why should I be afraid here? The CCP will soon be finished."

Ms. Mao, a volunteer at the service center, helped an older man quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Ms. Mao said that about 40 people had withdrawn from the CCP so far.

After the activity was over, volunteer worker Ms. Wang said that within four hours, 53 people quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, and some of them were veteran Party members.

Ms. Wang said, "When people passed by us, I would sincerely tell them, 'Something very relevant to you will happen soon, would you like to hear about it?' Generally people would stop to ask about it, and I would answer their questions one by one."

Ms. Wang talked about how two students from China asked why it was important for them to quit the CCP. She told them about the principle of karmic returns and how if one does not leave the CCP, he will perish along with the CCP when it does.

Ms. Wang said that they made statements to quit the Youth League and Young Pioneers later, and asked for additional literature.

Ms. Mao said that a couple in their 60s agreed heartily that the CCP has destroyed China's 5,000 years of proud, traditional culture. They made statements to quit the CCP and expressed their hopes for the destruction of the CCP and the restoration of the Chinese culture.
