(Clearwisdom.net) Since July 20, 1999, Falun Dafa practitioners have been using all sorts of methods to validate Dafa, such as telephone calls, faxes, the Internet, newspapers, and television. The most successful so far has been Divine Performing Arts, and some practitioners might think that whatever Master does is sure to be done the very best.

Yes, what Master has done is always the best, and we should learn where we have fallen short elsewhere, so that we can do better the next time.

Master said,

"If this was to be done well, then it must achieve the best results and truly save and rescue people. Only then would I do it, and this had to be achieved. So I couldn't do things as before. Before, Dafa disciples were doing the show part time, and now, if it was to be done, it had to be high caliber." [...] "...and it all had to lead to truly top-notch performances." (Fa teaching at the 2007 New York Fa Conference)

This really made me think about the huge difference between professionals and amateurs. Most of my friends have visited our websites and media outlets. When I asked for their opinions, they would generally say something to the effect of, "It was so so, nothing particularly attractive."

For an ordinary person, he would look at our newspaper and websites like they were done by anyone else. If they like the overall media outlet itself, they are more likely to believe and resonate with the content. This means that in order for us to be more effective, we need to reach a higher standard in the news reporting, information gathering, commentary--the content and the style of the entire media outlet. Most of the time, when I watch or read the media established by Dafa practitioners, I still feel that it is somewhat amateurish. There is still a considerable difference between our media and the major media outlets.

When we report on Dafa in the media, we need to do so according to normal conventions of the news media. We can clarify the truth through specific cases and non-practitioners' comments. We should not comment on ourselves, otherwise we would lose our credibility because people would see us as not being objective in our reporting.

Ordinary people do not have righteous thoughts on many things, but we can express our righteous thoughts through the media. It is easy to move people when you have compassion. If we lead the discussion and people respect our media, we will be able to guide people positively.

These are my thoughts. In many areas of truth clarification, we have a similar problem. I firmly believe that practitioners are harmonizing Dafa, and each profession in society exists for Fa-rectification. As long as we want to do a good job, we can become the best in any profession.
