(Clearwisdom.net) To stop the persecution of Falun Gong in China, branches of the "Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China" (CIPFG) in Asia held press conferences in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, and Japan on June 14, 2007. At the press conferences, the CIPFG announced the "Global Human Rights Torch Relay Plan," protesting the human right violations in China and calling upon the international community to stop the CCP from turning the Olympic Games into the "Bloody Harvest Games."
After the CIPFG branch in North America held a press conference on May 30, the other branches issued a joint statement: "The Olympics and Crimes Against Humanity Cannot Coexist In China," in which they demanded that the CCP stop the persecution of Falun Gong immediately.

Mr. Lai Ching-te, the chair of the Asia branch of CIPFG and a Legislative Yuan Member, said that the purpose of the "Human Rights Torch Relay Plan" is to raise awareness in the world and call upon more people to join the effort.
Mr. Lai said that to have the right to hold the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, the CCP regime promised to improve the human rights situation in China, but the situation has been getting worse and worse--many who hold different opinions, Tibetans, and Falun Gong practitioners have been jailed and tortured.
Mr. Qiu Huangquan, a vice chair of CIPFG in Asia, said that the Olympic Games is not purely entertainment, that its spirit is human rights and peace. He said that it brings shame on the whole world if international society ignores the human rights violations in China. Boycotting the Olympic Games is not a political issue, but a human rights issue.
Mr. Guo Zhengdian, a vice chair of CIPFG in Asia and a doctor at the Medical Department of Yangming University, said that harvesting organs is killing people, so the medical community has a responsibility to stop it. He said that boycotting the Olympic Games is not just for Falun Gong practitioners, but for all the people in China.
Many Legislative Yuan Members, including Tian Qiujin, Cai Tongtrong, Chen Tingfei, Wang Jinshan, and Jiang Congyuan, attended the press conference. Other attendees also included Dr. Liao Fute, the committee member of "Improving Human Right Association in Taiwan," and Mr. Gao Weibang, the chairman of "Association of Taiwanese Businessmen in China."
Tian Qiujin, a Legislative Yuan Member, said having the Olympic Games hosted by the CCP is like the one held by the Nazis. As a big country, China should know how to respect people's lives. She said that many people have condemned the CCP on the issue of genocide in Sudan and if everybody can stand up and speak the truth, then the CCP won't be able to conceal their evil behaviors anymore.
Mr. Liao Fute pointed out that an Olympic Games without human rights would be a worldwide disaster.
Condemn the CCP for turning the Olympic Games into the "Bloody Harvest Games"
The press conference held by the branch of CIPFG in Hong Kong and Macau was in Chater Garden. Mr. Szeto Wah, the vice chair of the branch of CIPFG in Asia, hosted the conference. Council members Leugn Kwok-hung, Lin Yongran, and Lin Zijian attended the conferences and gave speeches.

The attendees condemned the CCP's brutality, especially the organ harvesting. Mr. Szeto Wah said that the Olympic Games is a good chance to raise awareness of human rights issue in China.
Mr. Lin Zijian called upon reporters not to just report how many medals that China or other countries get during the Olympic Games, but also to focus on the people, including Falun Gong practitioners and Mr. Gao Zhisheng, a famous human right lawyer in China, who are being persecuted by the CCP.
Boycott the "Bloody Harvest Games"
The members of CIPFG in Korea said that if everybody in world will stand up for human rights, the CCP must change. After the press conference, the members of CIPFG went to the Chinese Embassy in Seoul to submit a statement, but the officials at the embassy refused to accept it.
Mr. Chen Qiuchen, a vice chair of CIPFG in Asia, said that the CCP didn't keep its promise of improving human rights in China, and that the organ harvesting is evidence that they have not. He said that the members of CIPFG in Korea will visit the Korean Olympic Committee and ask them to boycott the Games.
Mr. Ren Xianjun also said that he would try to stop Korean people from going to China for organ transplants.
Huang Xiaomin, a silver medal winner in swimming at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul
Ms. Huang Xiaomin, a silver medalist in swimming at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, said: "As a Chinese, I am very angry about the organ harvesting. I believe that if Chinese people know the truth, they will feel as I do." She said that she has met some Chinese athletes recently, and they also agreed that it is reasonable and rational to boycott the 2008 Olympic Games because the CCP is persecuting people. She said that more and more people recognize the evil nature of the CCP and more and more people are quitting the party.
Harvesting organs is unforgivable
At the press conference held in Tokyo, Japan, CIPFG members read the statement by the CIPFG in North America and the Canadian Independent Investigation Group of the Organ Harvesting. CIPFG members said that if the CCP regime doesn't stop the persecution and other crimes against humanity, the CIPFG will call upon all the powers of justice in the world to boycott the 2008 Olympic Games.
Several Parliament members said that the CCP should allow independent groups to conduct an investigation of the organ harvesting in China. They pointed out that Japanese society and people in general should pay attention to the organ harvesting and help to stop it. They praised Falun Gong practitioners for their efforts to clarify the facts and hope more and more Japanese people and parliament members will know the facts of the persecution.
"Human Rights Torch Relay" saves lives
Mr. Su Rende, a human rights lawyer and also the Malaysia CIPFG representative and a member of Malaysians Against the Death Penalty and Torture, said that the "Human Rights Torch Relay" will raise awareness of Falun Gong practitioners' suffering. He said that every effort to clarify the facts of the persecution helps to stop their suffering.
Mr. Lai Ching-te, Asia's CIPFG chair, said that the Human Rights Torch Relay will start in Europe and end in Asia. It will pass through five continents and dozens of cities over several months. Because more and more cities and countries are applying to join it, the agenda and route of the relay will be announced by CIPFG just before it starts.
