(Clearwisdom.net) On May 31, 2007, Stephen Sim, a member of the Rotary Club, gave a speech in a weekly meeting. His title was "China Today." In the talk he explained the persecution of Falun Gong in China, specifically the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) atrocities of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners. He also invited a Falun Gong practitioner who was persecuted in China to speak and testify.
Mr. Sim is the host of the Radio Station 2NSB (FM99.3), the largest community radio station in Sydney. He was director of the election office of the current Prime Minister and a member of Sydney City Council for three terms. In his speech, he mentioned that he knew of Falun Gong and the persecution eight years ago. He knew that Falun Gong practitioners were good people and that the CCP does not allow any spiritual beliefs.
People know that Hitler killed six million Jews and think it is the biggest genocide. Actually, the biggest genocide occurred in China. The number of Chinese people killed by the CCP is as many as several dozen million, much larger than Hitler's scale of killing.
The CCP uses trade as a weapon and exerts pressure on western countries not to ask about its human rights issues.
The CCP's persecution of Falun Gong is so cruel that organs are harvested from living practitioners. In Australia, patients have to wait for several years to get an organ. In China, doctors promise patients a wait of only one or two weeks. Last weekend, Sydney Morning Herald carried an article warning Australians not to go to China for organ transplants. The articles gives indication that more people know about and are spreading information of the CCP's organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.
Mr. Sim indicated that at that moment some practitioners were killed for organs. He is Catholic. As a human being, if one knows of the inhuman atrocities occurring in China and remains silent, he or she is standing by the evil. Australians like sports, and the Olympic Games will be held in China next year. China's poor human rights record conflicts with the Olympic spirit. Can we watch such games?
Mr. Sim invited Zeng Zheng, who was imprisoned in the Beijing Women's Labor Camp, to narrate her personal experience. Ms. Zeng said, "In the labor camp, the camp guard said, 'The only purpose to have you here is to have you renounce your belief.' To reach a high "transformation" rate, camp guards used extreme means, including sleep deprivation, shocks with electric batons, sexual harassment, and forced labor, to force practitioners to renounce their beliefs. The worst are the mental tortures."
Listening to Ms. Zeng's speech, people were deeply touched.
The Rotary Club branch chairman said at the end that each of us should do something to stop the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China.
After the speech, attendees actively asked practitioners for more information and took all the truth-clarification materials that practitioners had prepared. Some people said they would help spread the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.
Rotary Club is a worldwide organization composed of business leaders and professionals. It has 1.2 million members and 32,000 clubs in more than 200 countries.
After learning the facts about Falun Gong, Mr. Sim has interviewed Falun Gong practitioners many times on his radio program and explained the facts of Falun Gong on different occasions. Such righteous voices are becoming more and more common throughout the world.
