Appeal to the German Government: Please Ask for an End to the Persecution of Falun Gong

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen:

The EU-China Human Rights Dialog was formed in 1996, and the German-Chinese Human Rights Dialog has taken place annually since 2003. Alas, the truth of the matter can be seen in what has actually transpired. Minions of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) have exposed their viciousness and deceit by insisting that the dialogs be held behind closed doors. As a result, the dialogs have thus far failed. The CCP uses economic interests to deceive the world.

The 2006 annual US government report on human rights in China clearly described China as the world's worst human rights abuser. The UN Special Rapporteur on Torture and other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment, Professor Manfred Nowak, published a report in March that said, "...66% of publicly verified victims of torture are Falun Gong practitioners."

Additionally, some foreign observers have estimated that, "At least half of the officially acknowledged 250,000 detainees in labor camps are adherents of the Falun Gong movement. In its April 30, 2007, report, Amnesty International bemoans the fact that the Chinese regime did not keep the promises they made to the International Olympic Committee (IOC), as the human rights situation has worsened since the time they made their promise to the IOC.

Despite efforts by the German Federal Government, Mr. Jiang Renzheng is still beiing held under house arrest. He and his family were deported from Germany to China on March 8, 2005. Mr. Jiang was sentenced to a three-year term because of his belief in Falun Gong.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Xiaoyan, the wife of Zhang Zhentong who lives in Germany, is still being held in the notorious Masanjia Labor Camp in Northern China and is being tortured brutally. The evil nature of the CCP cannot be changed.

We are including a newsletter that discusses a number of criminal activities perpetrated by the CCP, including the bloody organ thefts from living Falun Gong practitioners, the oppressiveness of the labor camps, and the terrible fate of Chinese human rights attorney Gao Zhisheng.

We appreciate all your efforts in bringing human rights to China. But we still appeal to you to ask China publicly to stop the persecution of Falun Gong and to condemn their criminal activities.
