Dear Friends:

I am pleased to have this opportunity to send greetings to everyone gathered in Union Square Park for the 8th Annual World Falun Dafa Day. I would like to offer my best wishes for a successful and memorable afternoon.

Like you I remain deeply concerned about the religious persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China who have been detained and tortured because of their beliefs. As you remember the day in which Falun Dafa was first brought to the Chinese public, I commend you all for your tremendous dedication and perseverance in bringing these horrific practices against Falun Gong practitioners to an end.

On this occasion, I would like to recognize the organizers of this year's event for your hard work in putting together this important day and brining awareness to New York City and its surrounding areas. I am confident that you will continue to have a very positive influence in our community in the months and years to come.

Again, please accept my best wishes for this year's World Falun Dafa Day.
