1. [Beijing] Ms. Dong Xiuhua and Ms. Zhang Ronghua Sent to a Forced Labor Camp
Since October 2007, there has been a surge of Beijing police officers arresting many practitioners. On October 10, Ms. Dong Xiuhua and her sister, Ms. Dong Xiujun, were arrested. Seven days later, their family helped secure their release from the detention center. Soon after, officers from the domestic security devision of the Yanqing Police Station broke into Ms. Dong Xiuhua's home, arrested her, and took her to Daxing Women's Forced Labor Camp, where she was tortured.
On October 24, Ms. Zhang Ronghua was arrested. A month later, Yanqing County 610 Office agents took Ms. Zhang to the Daxing Women's Forced Labor Camp where she was tortured.
