(Clearwisdom.net) The Falun Dafa Association and Minghui website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net) founded the "Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China" on April 4, 2006. The coalition calls for people from all walks of life and any organization to form a united investigation group, to gather possible leads for investigation of illegal organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners in China. The following are some leads we recently obtained. We hope that all those who have special knowledge about such activities will assist us and continue to expose the inside stories of labor camps, prisons and hospitals in China that are in collusion to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Together we are striving to end the persecution.

Investigation Lead: Kidney Transplant Center at the No. 1 Hospital Affiliated with Jilin University Still Expanding its Business

Suspicious Point One: A Kidney Transplant Center was recently established at the No. 1 Hospital Affiliated with Jilin University. This center has advertised on the Internet, claiming, "Prof. Fu Yaowen, director of the center, is a renowned organ transplant expert in China. He has been working in organ transplant, blood purification and urology department(s) for over 20 years; he has completed more than 2,600 kidney allo transplants, more than 20 kidney auto transplants, and has rich clinical experience."

The ad also states that only organ transplants between family members or relatives are performed at the center. If center director Fu Yaowen has performed more than 2,600 transplants in the past several years, how could so many family members have donated their kidneys? The media would widely report any such "selfless" deeds whenever they occur, and yet we’ve found only one report of this type in the past several years. In other words, aside from executed prisoner’s organs, the source of the majority of these organs remains a mystery.

Suspicious Point Two: It has been learned that Fu Yaowen once worked at the Sino-Japan Friendship Hospital. It is well known within the organ transplant surgery field that he is someone who can obtain body organs unavailable to others. He has access to a large amount of organs and has a huge patient base as a result. It’s not an exaggeration to say that Fu Yaowen monopolizes the organ transplant market in Jilin Province. The No. 1 Hospital Affiliated with Jilin University had their eye on Fu Yaowen. They eventually lured him to work for the hospital equipped with the kidney transplant center by promising to promote him to the position of deputy head of the hospital.

Suspicious Point Three: It has been learned that more than fifty organ transplants were carried out at the center within only two months. Several dozen people are on a waiting list for the surgery.

Suspicious Point Four: What is Fu Yaowen’s secret supply system that allows him to get so many organs? He mostly relies on his wife Sun Suping, president of the Changchun City Economic Technology Development Zone Court. (Office of the president of the court: 431-4630040, Office: 431-4653303, 4653312, 4636971). Sun Suping was appointed president of the Development Zone Court on June 27, 2003. Prior to that she held the position of president of the Case Filing Court for the Changchun City Intermediate People’s Court. Sun Suping is well connected in the justice, procuratorate, legal and judicial departments, so she is able to get leads on supplies of organs. This is a well-known fact among medical experts at the hospital.

Suspicious Point Five: In order to strengthen its medical prowess, the No. 1 Hospital Affiliated with Jilin University is trying to get a medical Ph.D. student from Changchun City who is currently studying organ transplant techniques at Harvard University to return to the hospital. The student's wife is Li Hongmei, and his mother-in-law is Hong Chunrong. The father-in-law of this student is Li Guizhong, former deputy head of the Jilin Province Archives Bureau who had persecuted Dafa practitioners at his work place (Phone numbers include 431-8902414, 8902789, 8902483, 8902505). A brother of this Ph.D. student previously worked at Division 1 of the Changchun City Police Department and had illegally arrested Dafa practitioners. He was later transferred.

Suspicious Point Six: The No. 1 Hospital Affiliated with Jilin University has performed numerous organ transplants in recent years, using organs of unknown origin, which is reminiscent of the many Falun Gong practitioners whose organs were removed while they were alive. The number of verified torture deaths of Falun Gong practitioners in Jilin Province alone exceeds 200. Nearly 3,000 practitioners have been tortured to death throughout the country. Many of the families of these victims were barred from seeing the bodies. The officials often cremated the bodies without family consent. Only those closely involved know exactly what was done to the bodies prior to cremation.

Suspicious Point Seven: During the past six months, people were surprised to see the front gates of the No. 1 Hospital Affiliated with Jilin University suddenly becoming heavily guarded. At least two security officers wearing clothing resembling police uniforms, and holding walkie-talkies, stand outside the front gate and the three side gates. They sternly scrutinize each person entering and exiting the hospital.

Suspicious Point Eight: The No. 1 Hospital Affiliated with Jilin University is currently constructing a new building for the Kidney Transplant Center, as they plan to expand the scope of the transplant business.
