(Clearwisdom.net) On May 16th, the Austria Post published an article entitled, "Chinese Art Exhibition in Burg Schlaining." The article recommended the "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance" International Art Exhibition promoted by Falun Gong practitioners to its readers.

The article said that the "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance" Art Exhibition held by Chinese artists in Friedensburg (Burg of Peace) in the city of Schlaining ended in success last Friday, May 16th.

During the exhibition, many impressive paintings from a different China were displayed. This "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance" International Art Exhibition displayed a collection of twenty-nine canvases, gouaches and some photographs. It was promoted by the "Ars Cara" Art and Culture Association.

All the artworks displayed are from the hands of Falun Gong practitioners. In 1999, Falun Gong was banned in China. Its principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance" form a sharp contrast with the Communist Party’s ruling guidelines based on control, coercion and violence.

Former Communist leader Jiang Zemin ordered a ban on this practice when the number of Falun Gong practitioners exceeded that of party members. Some artist exhibitors themselves have experienced being tortured, repressed and detained in forced labor camps.

This exhibition was displayed in the U.S. and Canada first, and now it has come to Europe. The aim of this exhibition is to raise people’s awareness of these human rights violations, which have not received attention from public groups all over the world. On the other side, this exhibition also shows the beauty of the cultivation practice of Falun Gong and the return of true and pure compassion. These unique paintings have been displayed in America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and other countries in Europe.

Before the exhibition, the Mayor of the city, Alfred Rohr sent his congratulations: "Friedensburg (Burg of Peace) is the perfect place for this art exhibition in the city of Schlaining". Member of the state parliament Ms. Doris Prohaska attended the opening ceremony of the art exhibition. Mr. Volker Dietz, from the organizing committee of the international art exhibition, explained all the art works to visitors.
