(Clearwisdom.net) In early March, after the atrocities in Sujiatun Concentration Camp were revealed, I felt rather emotional for several hours, because my practitioner wife is also unlawfully incarcerated in a detention center. But I immediately corrected my state of mind. Master has said,
"Just by staying unaffected, you will be able to handle all situations." ("Lecture on the Fa at the U.S. Midwest Conference", provisional translation)
I realized that any of my attachments could cause her to be persecuted even more. I also I realized that the old forces wanted to destroy me by way of the attachment to qing. I did not let myself be taken in and kept on doing well the three things with a calm mind.
In late March, I read Master's "Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles" given on February 25, 2006. I was again a bit affected, but was able to regain a calm frame of mind a few hours later. To date, many practitioners still cannot come to a righteous understanding about this issue. Some complain about why Master hasn't done anything to save Dafa disciples. Some other practitioners believe this is the evil's madness in its doomsday, and large numbers of Dafa disciples are bound to be killed.
Master has actually already explained to us in his teaching how we should understand such issues as the harvesting of organs from living Dafa practitioners. Perhaps some practitioners have not read this part of the Fa with a calm mind. I have extracted some of the content from Master's teaching to share with everyone.
Master said,
"Back at that time, I wanted the transformation of the surface body to be in sync with the part that has been well-cultivated; I wanted to have the body be disassociated with the human state during cultivation; and I wanted to have the cultivating disciples use their own righteous thoughts to maintain a state that is just like that of human beings. Over these issues I was at an impasse with them for a year." ("Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles")
I have come to the understanding that the old forces forbid divine thoughts from directly controlling the physical bodies of cultivators. That is the reason why, when our human minds are preoccupied, our divine thoughts are restrained. That is when the old forces will take advantage of our loopholes, resulting in situations where some Dafa disciples are being trampled on.
There are two other relevant points in this paragraph. My understanding is this: The old forces insisted on interfering. When Master arranged Dafa disciples' cultivation paths to reach consummation, Master would have to take into consideration the elements arranged by the old forces and make even more meticulous arrangements based on that. Therefore, as long as we act according to Master's requirements, in the end we will all reach consummation. Thus, I believe that any such thinking that in its doomsday madness, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is bound to kill many Dafa disciples is absolutely wrong! If the whole body of Dafa disciples had this mindset, it would give rise to a scenario in which many Dafa disciples would be in extreme danger.
In fact, the evil is in the process of being eliminated, and it cannot have its evil way any more. Great numbers of government officials, many of the police and the general public are awakening and refuse to carry out any more persecution orders. Some of the language used in the "Minghui Weekly" and in the media is for everyday people to read, to awaken them, so that they can position themselves. We as Dafa disciples must not be affected by these and must keep a clear head. We should not always think that we should end the persecution by relying on so and so, or on any organizations; instead, we should focus on how to enable the people in the West to choose their future so that they can be saved.
I once read about overseas practitioners discussing joining a VIP team. The translated Chinese name for the team is "Very Important Persons." Here I would like to remind overseas practitioners: please, always put rescuing a great number of people as our top priority. Yes, we need to save people with high social status, but we also need to save huge numbers of the general population. Can a president equal tens of millions of American people? The president is the common people's head of state; yet, a huge number of people may be lords from numerous celestial bodies. Our mercy in saving sentient beings should not differ according to human social status. Master also warned overseas practitioners to be alert when facing incidents that might happen in the future. Master knows everything and has taught the Fa to overseas Dafa disciples beforehand. Dafa disciples in Mainland China are not indifferent. How can we best resist the persecution? By doing the three things well, remaining diligent and more rapidly letting go of the human mindset.
In the past I did not understand why Dafa disciples went to Tiananmen Square. I thought there was no need for them to make their situations so miserable. I studied the Fa and read Guiding the Voyage. Master said,
"There's something I told you before. I said: what is a Buddha? "Tathagata" is what human beings call someone who's come with the truth and the power to do what he wants, whereas real Buddhas are guardians of the cosmos and are responsible for all righteous elements in the cosmos." ("Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. Fa Conference" from Guiding the Voyage)
I understood that a true Buddha is a guardian of the cosmos. Dafa disciples have the responsibility to safeguard the Fa. However, I was shocked when I read this paragraph in Master's teaching,
"Before the persecution started on July 20, 1999, some Dafa disciples were in a state where they were at a high level of gradual enlightenment. They haven't been allowed to get involved in resisting the persecution. No one dares to persecute them, and they haven't gotten involved. If they joined forces they could stop this persecution, but they already know everything." ("Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles")
Some Dafa disciples did not even participate in resisting the persecution? The universal Fa is being persecuted and they did not even get involved? At the same time I gained a deeper understanding of the concept of safeguarding the cosmos.
Fellow practitioners: Dafa disciples need to truly safeguard the Fa, and not only to protect Dafa disciples. Please, base our considerations on the Fa. We cultivators should let go of the attachments to qing. The slower you let go of it, the more you will hinder the progress of Fa-rectification. Why is it that the persecution is still not ended? Master said that if those who were in a high-level state of gradual enlightenment would join forces, they could stop this persecution. Then, why is it that we still cannot bring the persecution to an end, with so many Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples joining forces? What is the reason? Master has already pointed out our problems. It is that our xinxing has not been cultivated to the standard that would enable us to end the persecution.
Master is carrying out Fa-rectification, and Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples are also bearing a huge responsibility in assisting our Master. As Dafa disciples we should cultivate ourselves well. At the same time we also need to eliminate the evil and rescue sentient beings. That can make things very difficult. Master has told us, however, how to walk our paths. We must do well all of the three things at the same time: "Study the Fa, send forth righteous thoughts and clarify the truth." With Master's guidance we have come through this far. We cannot resolve the difficulties if we adopt everyday people's methods based on a human mindset and human fervor. We must do away with this maze!
