(Clearwisdom.net) In order to help people from all walks of life learn about the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong, especially the recently revealed crimes of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, so that more people can join in the activities to stop the persecution, Falun Gong practitioners in Sydney, Australia initiated a face-to-face truth clarification activity to members of parliament at different levels, the media, regional governments and the media. Practitioners formed truth clarification teams, each composed of five to ten practitioners, and then went to visit different facilities one by one. Whenever arriving in a place, several practitioners fluent in English would enter the office to clarify the truth, and other practitioners would unfurl banners and distribute truth-clarification materials on the streets. Practitioners cooperated very well together, and maintained righteous thoughts at all times. Not only did the officers they came to visit learn about the truth, many people passing by on the streets also learned about the situation of the persecution in China.

The following are accounts of two of the practitioners' visits:

Leichhardt City Government

Leichhardt, an inner-west Sydney suburb, is an area where the majority of the residents are from Italy and Greece. A truth-clarification team of six practitioners came to this city government on a sunny morning. Two practitioners whose English is very good politely inquired at the reception desk if they could be granted an opportunity to meet with the mayor. The receptionist replied kindly that they could not meet the mayor without making an appointment in advance, because the mayor was very busy. The practitioner immediately explained that they came without making an appointment because they had an urgent need to ask for the mayor's help. They said that recently, several witnesses revealed that a crime of mass organ removal from living Falun Gong practitioners is happening in China. The receptionist was shocked and said that it was inconceivable. How come such a thing still occurs in today's 21st century! She immediately picked up the phone to call the mayor's office. Upon learning that the mayor would not be in the office that day, she explained to the mayor's secretary about the urgency of the matter, and requested the secretary to receive the Falun Gong practitioners.

The mayor's secretary had a 30-minute conversation with four practitioners in the meeting room. The practitioners told her about the CCP's harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, and that the CCP is hastily destroying the evidence; every minute and every second involves the lives of innocent Falun Gong practitioners. The practitioners hoped the mayor could propose to the federal government to investigate the CCP's crimes. At the same time, the practitioners suggested that the mayor advise the federal government that while actively developing economic trade with China, they should take seriously the CCP's human rights abuses and maintain the human rights position that Australia should have. The secretary listened and repeatedly expressed that such crimes are intolerable. She said that she would deliver the letters and truth-clarification materials to the mayor and other members of Parliament, and would convey the practitioners' hope and their request to the mayor.

The North Shore Times

Falun Gong practitioners in North Sydney worked hard to make the local newspaper report on the CCP's atrocities of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. They twice visited the North Shore Times, a paper that is quite influential in the area, and managed to talk with a journalist for over an hour during their second visit.

At the beginning, the young journalist did not even know what Falun Gong is. The practitioners started by telling him about Falun Gong and then told him about the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong since July 1999, up to the recently revealed appalling incident of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. The journalist listened, while taking notes. The journalist mentioned that the local newspaper has regional limitations in its reporting, and said that such a big incident should be covered by the larger news media.

The practitioners suggested to the journalist that since China has a huge market of human organs, patients who receive organ transplants come from around the world. The local newspaper has the responsibility to let the local residents know why China can provide such a huge number of high-quality human organs. It is because in the past seven years, organ removal from living Falun Gong practitioners has been practiced on a large scale throughout China. The newspaper can advise the residents who might plan to go to China for an organ transplant, to think carefully in terms of morality whether their conscience would allow them to receive such organ transplants. The journalist readily accepted the practitioners' suggestion, and said that he would try to write a report on this and publish it in their newspaper.
