(Clearwisdom.net) On April 12 and 13, 2006, the Colorado Senate and House of Representatives each passed a resolution to condemn the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s persecution of Falun Gong and their live organ removal from Falun Gong practitioners imprisoned in concentration camps.

State Senator Lewis Entz and Representative Joshua Penry are the sponsors of the resolution. Seven-five of 100 representatives co-signed resolution. The joint resolution 06-027 was submitted to President Bush before his meeting with Hu Jintao.

Representative Penry said in his speech before the voting for the resolution that China was an important trade partner, but it does not mean that the CCP's killing of its citizens can be ignored. The U.S. should stand up to state that this is unacceptable.

Representative Berens, a co-signer of the resolution, was harassed by the CCP's consulate for issuing a proclamation to Falun Gong. He testified in the assembly that the CCP not only persecutes its own citizens but also intimidates Americans who speak for others' freedom.
