(Clearwisdom.net) At 9:00 a.m. on January 23, 2006, practitioner Mr. Lin Shusen from the Xicheng area of Beijing was illegally sentenced to prison by the Xicheng area Party court. Witnesses at the entrance of the court saw an extremely frail, pale, and bony man with tubes in his nose. He had been put in a bright red prison uniform and was carried in a wheelchair to the third floor for the trial.

His family repeatedly requested that he be granted bail while awaiting trial but was refused by the court and public security department. Their reason was that Mr. Lin was still not in critical condition! In late April 2005, Mr. Lin suddenly disappeared. His family in Heilongjiang Province lost touch with him and were very concerned. Recently they found that the Xinjiekou security office in the Xicheng area of Beijing had arrested him again. According to insiders, the public security department downloaded the article by Mr. Lin that had been published online on the Clearwisdom website exposing the torture in Qianjin Prison. They used it as evidence to prosecute Mr. Lin.

Mr. Lin Shusen is 33 years old. Originally from Qing'an County, Heilongjiang Province, he lived in the Xicheng area in Beijing. After graduating from college in 1998, he stayed in Beijing and lived at Haogulou Yuan, Hutong #13, Jiaodaokou, in the Dongcheng area. People praised him as a kind and excellent young man. (The police chief in Dongcheng is Li Xianfeng, cell number 86-13911206933).

Mr. Lin started practicing Falun Gong in 1996. Since the persecution of Falun Dafa began in 1999, he has been subjected to repeated persecution because of his determination in practicing Falun Gong. The First Division of the Beijing Public Security Bureau had him arrested in August 2000. Later he was sentenced to three years in prison by the Chaoyang District Court in Beijing. On January 17, 2001, he was sent to Qianjin Prison in Chadian, Tianjin, now known as Beijing Qinghe Prison Management Division Qianjin Prison.

From January 17-31, 2001, Qianjin Prison authorities did not allow him to sleep, and forced him to run one hundred laps around the playground on cold days. In order to try to coerce him to give up his belief, the guards used various means to torture him mentally and physically including sleep deprivation, constraining clothes, the death bed, electric shocks, exhaustion, handcuffing his wrists behind his back, and brainwashing.

On February 1, 2001, because Mr. Lin refused to be brainwashed, Cai, the head of the Sixth Division, Liu Boquan, guard Xu, and all other personnel on duty first handcuffed Mr. Lin. They then shocked him simultaneously with up to eleven electric batons. The total electrical charge reached several hundred-thousand volts, causing damage to his nervous system. He consequently became mentally disordered for over six months. He spent the days in constraining clothes and was tied up on a death bed. In mid-July 2002, he was transferred to the Twelfth Division to do manual labor. He was finally released in August 2003. Those who tortured him were promoted. Some were even recognized as "the top ten excellent workers in Beijing." Their crimes remain unpunished.

The persecution launched by the vicious Party and Jiang's regime has never been lawful. Lawyers are not allowed to accept any Falun Gong cases or to defend them. They confiscated Mr. Lin Shusen's identification card, making it difficult for him to get a job and make a living. He has not been able to sue the perpetrators according to the law.

On April 28, 2005, as he was seaching rented houses, police officer Fang Ge from the Xinjiekou Security Office in Beijing found a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. He called in others including police officer Liu. They broke in and arrested Mr. Lin Shusen.

On May 31, 2005, Mr. Lin Shusen was transferred from Xicheng Detention Center to the Beijing Second Detention Center. His case was also transferred from the Xicheng area, where Zhou Fei was in charge of his case, to the notorious Seventh Division of the Beijing Public Security Bureau. Wang Lei (title not clear) is in charge of his case.

In June 2005, Mr. Lin's family went to Beijing twice and appealed to related departments about Lin's torture at Qianjin Prison. Investigators went to investigate and the result was "generally true." Based on his health, his family requested the Seventh Division to allow him out on bail while awaiting trial, but they were rejected. By then, Mr. Lin Shusen had been on a hunger strike for three months. His family did not know about it.

On November 25, 2005, Mr. Lin was once again transferred to Xicheng Detention Center. In mid-December, he was illegally sued. He has been on a hunger strike ever since December 16. At present he is being detained and tortured in the hospital.

We urge everyone to help stop this most vicious persecution against Falun Gong.
