In the 48 hours that Mr. Wang Zhenguo was detained, officers interrogated him more than 20 times, searched his body, twisted his arms and wrists, pulled his hair, cursed him, and did not allow him to sit down, eat, drink, use the toilet, or sleep. Finally, Mr. Wang collapsed mentally from such severe mistreatment, and he was bailed out by his family members. His home had been ransacked, and his family possessions were taken away.

He collapsed several times and could not take care of himself in his daily life. He died on October 4, 2006. After his death, his family members found a letter he had written that revealed how the police officers in the Jiangti Station had inhumanly tortured him.
