1. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Liu Yuzheng on a Hunger Strike to Protest the Persecution
According to reliable sources, practitioner Ms. Liu Yu, is illegally detained at Longgang Detention Center, Shenzhen City. She began a hunger strike on October 23 to protest her detention. Ms. Liu has been detained for one year and seven months. She is using a hunger strike to protest the unlawful persecution inflicted upon her and fellow practitioners. Ms. Liu endured a nine-day hunger strike in the past. She nearly died from being brutally forced-fed, which also caused her extreme pain. Ms. Liu Yu is on a hunger strike again to demand her unconditional release.

2. [Chongqing City] Practitioner Ms. Wu Zongrong's Whereabouts Unknown Since Her Arrest
Ms. Wu Zongrong, 66, is from Jijiang Town, Jiangjin City. She has been illegally arrested and sentenced to brainwashing centers, detention centers, and labor camps many times for practicing Falun Dafa and clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa to people. Last year she was detained for printing truth-clarifying materials but was able to escape from custody with righteous thoughts. On October 18, 2006, she was arrested by Gao Wenxing, Liu Jun, and three other policemen from the National Security Brigade. She was taken from her home and sent to a detention center. Recently, members of Ms. Wu's family went to the detention center to visit her but were unable to see her. Ms. Wu's whereabouts are unknown.

Mr. Meng Fanquan from Tangshan City was sentenced to seven years in prison by the Lubei Court of Tangshan City. He is currently being detained at Fengyun District Detention Center of Tangshan City. The date to appeal his case has passed. The detention center does not allow family visitations.

5. [Yulin Prefecture, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region] Persecution Facts about Practitioner Ms. You Ruizhuang
Ms. You Ruizhuang from Beiliu City, Yulin Prefecture, Guangxi Province, became a practitioner in May 1999. Before she practiced Falun Gong, she had gallstones. Within one month of practicing Falun Gong, her whole body felt much better. On July 20, 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began to persecute Falun Dafa. You Ruizhuang's husband frequently verbally abused and beat her. Ms. You's employer relocated her away from the city. In August 2001, her husband forced her to divorce him. In 2002, her employer and the 610 Office sent her to a brainwashing center for 15 days. Because she refused to write the Three Statements, Ms. You was sent to a detention center for 15 days.
On March 24, 2004, You Ruizhuang was arrested and detained in the Beiliu Detention Center for seven days because she was distributing truth-clarification materials. She was sentenced to one year at Nanning Women's Forced Labor Camp. Her house was ransacked twice. Large quantities of Falun Dafa books and exercise music tapes were confiscated.
6. [Beijing] Practitioner Ms. Zhang Peirong Was Taken by Local Police
At 7:40 p.m. on October 23, 2006, Ms. Zhang Peirong, approximately 55 years old, from Hongmei Village, Xiangshan, Haidian District, Beijing, was clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa in Dongyue Dormitory Compound. She was reported to the police by students living at the compound. She was taken away by officers from Xiangshan Police Station

7. [Beijing] Practitioner Mr. Liu Kuo from the Peili Professional School in Beijing Arrested
Practitioner Mr. Liu Kuo was newly enrolled as a student in Beijing Peili Professional School in the Department of Electronic Commerce in 2006. On September 29, 2006, Bai Lina, a teacher of politics at the school, gave incorrect information in a lecture about the "Tiananmen Self-immolation" incident and then slandered Falun Gong. Students unaware of the the true history of these events also made similar slanderous comments. Mr. Liu stood up and told the teacher and students: "The Tiananmen Self-immolation was a fabrication and the information you have provided is untrue." After the class, Liu Kuo went directly to the teacher to further clarify the truth. According to the students, Mr. Liu never returned to the classroom.
He was arrested and taken to Qinhe Police Station in the Haidian District. He made a brief call home to tell his family that he was being illegally detained in the Haidian District Detention Center. Over 20 days have past and his family still has not been allowed to see him.

8. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Supplemental Information about the Arrest of Practitioner Mr. Chen Lei
Around 3:22 p.m. on September 29, 2006, some people pounded on the door of Mr. Chen Lei's house. The children opened the door and four men and one woman entered the house. One man claimed to be a policeman from Dafangli Police Station. A computer and a printer were confiscated. Mr. Chen Lei and his wife had their cellphones taken and over 10,000 yuan in cash was taken from them. Mr. Chen's wife is unemployed. They have two children, an eight-year-old and a toddler. A 90-year-old grandmother is living with them. Mr. Chen Lei is being detained at Daowai Sub-police Bureau.

On October 9, 2006, from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Director Jiang Qiang and policeman Liu Zhanjun, along with other officers from the Leshan Town Police Station in the Chaoyang District of Changchun City, broke into the homes of several practitioners. They arrested Mr. Yao Yongchun and his wife. Yang Hao and his wife were also arrested. Mr. Yao is being detained in the Second Detention Center of Changchun City.

10. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Practitioners Mr. Dong Zhaozhong and Others Arrested and their Houses Ransacked
On the morning of October 23, 2006, policemen from the Changchunlu Police Station of Zhaogezhuang in the Guye District in Tangshan City went to the home of practitioner Mr. Dong Zhaozhong. Mr. Dong and Mr. Yang Erhai were arrested. The police also ransacked the houses of both practitioners. Later, police from the Shuiyu Police Station of Zhaogezhuang ransacked Mr. Li Zhengqin's house. Mr. Li has been forced to live a homeless life to avoid arrest.
11. [Beijing] Practitioner Ms. Tan Guilan Arrested
On August 25, 2006, between 7:00 and 8:00 in the morning, practitioner Ms. Tang Guilan from the Haidian District in Beijing was arrested and taken from her home by police from the North Taipingzhuang Police Station, Haidian Sub-Police Bureau, and National Security. She is being detained at Qinghe Forced Labor Camp.

14. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Practitioners Ms. Su Jilian and Ms. Xia Yongjuan Arrested from their Homes and their Houses Ransacked
On October 4, 2006 at 11:00 p.m., practitioner Ms. Su Jilian from Liuzhuang Village, Taoxu Town, Mengyin County, Shandong Province, was arrested at her home by officers from the 610 Office and police from the local police station. Ms. Su was taken to the police station. The police confiscated Falun Dafa books, two copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and some truth-clarification materials. At midnight that same night, the police also broke into the home of Ms. Xia Yongjuan from the same village. Her home was ransacked, and Falun Dafa books, truth-clarification VCDs, and other truth-clarification materials were confiscated. Ms. Xia was also taken to the police station. On the afternoon of October 5, 2006, Ms. Su Jilian and Ms. Xia Yongjuan were detained in Mengyin County Detention Center, where they were subjected to persecution.
15. [Xian City, Shaaxi Province] Practitioner Arrested by Police in Xi-an City
On September 1, 2006, two truth-clarification resource sites were sabotaged in Xi-an City and policemen apprehended Falun Dafa practitioners. The police took the practitioners to the second office building of the Police Division of Shaaxi Province and also to a nearby hotel, where they were interrogated. One practitioner was able to escape from custody with righteous thoughts.
16. [Nanning City, Guangxi Province] Practitioner Ms. Duan Deling Arrested Again
On October 16, 2006, early in the morning, practitioner Ms. Duan Deling from Nanning City, Guangxi Province, was arrested by officers of the Nanjiang District Superior Court and Nanning City National Security Bureau. Ms. Duan has been arrested and detained many times for practicing Falun Gong. In 2001, she was sentenced to three years in prison at the Women's Prison of Guangxi Province, where she was persecuted.
Early in the morning on July 11, 2006, Ms. Duan went beyond the gated area of the dormitory where she resided to buy breakfast for her mother. Suddenly, several people jumped her and dragged her into a parked car. She was subjected to a body search by the police. They confiscated the key to her house. The police then broke into her home and ransacked it. Ms. Duan was detained for over a month in a detention center.
Duan Deling's mother is bedridden due to paralysis. She relies on only a few kind neighbors and friends to help her. Because of Ms. Duan's arrest her mother suffers severe agony.
17. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Wenhua Arrested
At 5:00 p.m. on October 19, 2006, practitioner Ms. Wang Wenhua from the Chaoyang District was arrested and taken from her home by six policemen from the Jiuxianqiao Station and the Chaoyang District Department. The police confiscated Falun Dafa books and the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party booklets.

At around 11:00 a.m. on October 23, 2006, practitioners Ms. Sun Guizhen and Ms. Li Huanzhi from Mudanjiang City were reported to police while passing out truth-clarifying materials. They were both arrested by police from the Xinhua Station and are being detained at the police station.

20. [Guiping City Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region] Ms. Liang Yezhen Arrested by 610 Officers and MissingOn October 17, 2006, Guiping City 610 Officers stormed into practitioner Ms. Liang Yezhen's home and arrested her. Her son and daughter-in-law were both working out of town at the time. Ms. Liang was at home alone with her one-year-old granddaughter. 610 Office agents left her granddaughter by the side of the road when they arrested Ms. Liang. Fortunately, people who were passing by took the poor baby home. Ms. Liang's whereabouts are unknown.

21. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Huang Ying Arrested
On October 1, 2006, practitioner Ms. Huang Ying from Chongzhou City (under Chengdu City) was arrested on a bus on her way home. 610 Office agents took her and confiscated her personal belongings and truth-clarifying VCD's. Ms. Huang's whereabouts are unknown.
22. [Xinyang City, Henan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
About ten days ago, several practitioners were arrested by Huaibin County State Security agents. Mr. Wang Helin from Huaibin County was arrested. Mr. Fu Lingyun from Huangchuan County was arrested on October 23, 2006. Two other practitioners (names unknown) were also arrested. One Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials production center was destroyed. The practitioners are being detained in the Huaibin County State Security Division.

Around 9:00 a.m. on October 2, 2006, practitioner Ms. Wang Xiufen from Jinzhu Town, Jilin City, was arrested. She is being detained in a detention center.
24. [Xinyang City, Henan Province] Persecution Facts about Ms. He Jianfeng
Around 5:00 p.m. on October 17, 2006, practitioner Ms. He Jianfeng, 65, from Shili Town, Guangshan County, Xinyang City, was arrested by County 610 officers and detained in the county detention center.
Ms. He Jianfeng started practicing Falun Dafa in August 1998, and within a short period of time, all of her sicknesses disappeared. Because of Ms. He's experience, her oldest daughter and youngest son to also became practitioners. After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, her daughter and son went to Beijing to clarify the truth about the persecution of Falun Dafa. Ms. He's son and daughter were arrested. The daughter was detained for one month, and her son was sentenced to four years in prison and also lost his job. Ms. He's home has been ransacked multiple times and she has had money extorted from her. She has been interrogated and forced to attend brainwashing sessions.
At around 5:00 p.m. on October 17, 2006, Ms. He went to town to visit her relatives. She met a car along the way. Ms. He is illiterate and did not recognize that the car was a 610 Office vehicle. She put two pieces of truth-clarifying materials in the car. Officers Yang Daogui (male), Huang Miao, and Qu Yingde (male) were in the car. The driver forced Ms. He into the vehicle. She was taken to the county police department, where she is being detained.

25. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] News from Luquan Women's Prison
All female practitioners in Hebei Province sentenced to prison are detained in the Luquan City (under Shijiazhuang City) Women's Prison. The longest prison term for a practitioner at this facility is ten years. The practitioners are forced to do heavy labor from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the prison clothing factory.
