(Clearwisdom.net) From August 22 to September 5, 2005, the "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance International Art Show" was hosted at Auckland's Central Library. On the first day when practitioners were setting up the paintings, many Chinese students came to watch and ask questions about Falun Gong. Clarifying the truth to these Chinese students, we found they were interested in learning about Dafa and wanted to know what was behind the years of Communist Party propaganda and the persecution of Falun Gong.
Many people listened to the stories about how Falun Gong practitioners persisted in their belief despite the years of persecution. After they had seen all the artworks, we would ask them if they had any questions about Falun Gong. Many people answered "No". They had a calm and understanding expression on their faces. Many signed their names in the guest book and thanked us for letting them know about Dafa. Some remarked that they would share what they had learned with others.
One day, many people came to the art exhibit. There were a lot of practitioners in the library and maybe the strong righteous thoughts made it easier for people to enter the exhibition after getting off the escalator. At first, when asked if they needed guidance, they declined. They quietly viewed the paintings and read the text carefully. Gradually, they were moved by the paintings. At that time, some practitioners approached them and talked about the stories behind each painting.
The exhibition was the last one on North Island before it goes to South Island.
We gave a painting album to the Auckland City Library to express our thanks. The library helped us to promote the art show and provided important help to expose the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. They also helped us to put up posters about the art show in other city libraries. We sincerely appreciate all their help in making the "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance International Art Show" a great success.
