During the past six months, there have been a number of reports on the Minghui website (the Chinese version of Clearwisdom) about practitioners being persecuted in the Dalian area. Because there have been multiple articles about the actual numbers and incidents recently, we will not repeat them here. We believe that when the evil persecution covers such a large region so aggressively, it is no longer an issue of one person or one material production site. It must be issues with the entire body of practitioners in Dalian that has led the evil to take advantage of our loopholes again and again.
Recently some practitioners who are involved in coordination and in producing "truth-clarifying" materials got together and had in-depth discussions regarding the current situation in Dalian. Through careful examination and pointing out each other's mistakes in cultivation, coordination methods, Dafa related work and studying the Fa, everyone was able to identify his or her attachments that had not been identified or faced before. As a result, we all felt infused with an intense sense of responsibility. The attitude of "numbly waiting and seeing" that had been such a barrier suddenly disappeared because our true natures came through. This is the result of everyone understanding the Fa and reaching a common level as one body. It cannot come from someone's imagination or personal experience.
We realized that if we only do Dafa work based on our personal understandings, instead of from the perspective of the whole body, then we cannot exhibit the power of the whole body and the evil will take advantage of the gaps and do evil things. Even though each material production site is working on its own, there are certain things that require coordination. In the comments on the article "A Great Way Has No Form But Exists as a Whole," Teacher said,
"Dafa disciples are one body, and I affirm everything they've been doing during Fa-rectification --they're all doing what Dafa disciples should do. Different approaches are in fact the all-encompassing way in which roles are dynamically distributed in the operations of the Fa, and the Fa-power is a reflection of the one body."
Only when we all coordinate as one body can we be more effective in validating the Fa, doing well on the three things, exposing the evil, and saving sentient beings.
What follows are a few experiences of some of the participating practitioners. They are printed here to share with other practitioners from the Dalian area.
Practitioner A
Recently, there were many incidents in which practitioners were arrested and material production sites became inoperable. Some practitioners also received phone calls from neighborhood committees and were told to fill out Falun Gong Investigation Forms. It is apparent that evil persecution is rampant.
In our earlier discussions, several practitioners mentioned that some practitioners visited pornographic websites at the Dafa material production sites that were destroyed. Some practitioners displayed strong jealousy. Instead of helping each other, they sabotaged each other's work. Moreover, they were trapped in the mentality of "doing things." They strayed away from the Fa. As a result, the rotten ghosts and evil demons from other dimensions took advantage of the practitioners' loopholes and intensified the interference and persecution.
We should first look within ourselves when there is a problem. This is not only the problem with those practitioners who have been arrested. It is an issue with the cultivation state of the entire practitioner body. We have loopholes that are being taken advantage of. Even among the practitioners closest to us, they have been busy with their own things lately. Some have been spending a lot of time at work and not realizing it is a type of interference. Some have been troubled with illness karma and have not been able to study the "Fa" and practice the exercises regularly, but still they accept the situation and view it as eliminating karma, as if it were still the personal cultivation period. Some practitioners have been interfered with by lust and desires, and they are in a very dangerous state. When faced with fellow practitioners being persecuted again and again, we appear to be numb. What is the root of this attachment that is blocking us? Is it fear? Is it the attachment to comfort? I think it is attachment to self. One only wants to gain and does not wish to contribute, or one still stays in the state of self-cultivation and thinking of oneself. In our minds, we rely on the changes in the external environment.
Teacher said, "Dafa disciples are now sentient beings' only, sole hope for salvation." ("Righteous Thoughts") Our surrounding environment is the result of our own thoughts. If our thoughts are not rectified according to the Fa, the evil factors will stay in our environment, and we will foster the evil. Because we have not been able to coordinate well with each other, there have been barriers between practitioners. When fellow practitioners were being persecuted, we did not expose the evil in a timely fashion, we did not put emphasis on sending forth righteous thoughts together, we did not put emphasis on clarifying the truth to their families to help actively organize the rescue effort. Every one of us is a particle in Dafa, Teacher said,
"The next person's things are your things, and your things are his things. We don't talk about the 'unity' everyday people do, which is a forced, superficial thing. You are cultivators, and your realms are higher." ("Teaching the Fa at the Washington, D.C. Fa Conference")
Let us dig deep to the root of our problem and see if our foundation is really on the Fa. Dear practitioners, we should be clearheaded!
We are the beings within the Fa. We cannot let the evil use our attachments to intensify the persecution. We hope that the practitioners in Dalian can quickly mobilize. We know some of the practitioners are being detained at Huanbao Hotel (telephone numbers: 86-411-84676714, 86-411-84684749), Jinzhou Detention Center, and Dalian City Detention Center. We ask practitioners to send forth righteous thoughts every evening at 7:00, 8:00, 9:00, and 10:00 p.m. Also, we need to clarify the truth to the perpetrators and their families via telephone or other methods, and help practitioners' families in the rescue effort.
As Dafa practitioners during the Fa-rectification period, we have the incomparable glory of shouldering the scared mission of saving sentient beings. It is our duty to do well in the three things required by Teacher: studying Fa, clarifying the truth, and sending forth righteous thoughts. Teacher said in "Greetings at the 2004 Mid-Autumn Festival,"
"The Dafa disciples in Mainland China, more than anyone, should step up their efforts and do well the things they are supposed to do, staying always diligent."
I hope fellow practitioners become more diligent and do not disappoint Teacher and let down all the hopes of sentient beings.
