"Everything in the world was established and created for the Fa-rectification, and Dafa disciples are the great figures of our time. Since ancient times the beings in all realms have waited in anticipation. Gather up and rescue the beings that you are to save! Have righteous thoughts and righteous actions, dissolve all hindrances, and spread the facts widely. Divine beings are among men."
After reading this article several times, I have some understandings to share with fellow practitioners.
I have been cultivating Falun Dafa for seven years, and most of the time when everything was normal, I was passive, underestimating myself and overestimating the evil. As a result I often had fear and unconsciously placed the evil old forces above Falun Dafa practitioners. I always passively avoided the persecution and oftentimes had thoughts such as, "What should I do if I get arrested?" "How would I escape if I was being monitored?" "My husband is not letting our child study the Fa, how can I get around him and secretly help my child study?" I felt I was living under a controlled environment while trying to adjust to it and avoid being persecuted.
After studying Teacher's new article repeatedly, I suddenly saw the light. I thought, "We, the Dafa practitioners, are the great figures of our time. We will become great enlightened beings on different levels. The old forces are absolutely not above us, and we should learn to control the situation." I changed my way of thinking. I no longer thought about what to do if I got arrested. We are the protectors of the universe. We should be chasing down the evil, disintegrating the evil and saving sentient beings!
How do we become the divine beings we are supposed to be? As I understand it, we should have the mentalities of gods and do well the three things Master requires of us with righteous thoughts and righteous actions.
We should overcome all hindrances, put our hearts into the three things, and do everything in a steady, orderly and comprehensive manner while improving as a whole body. I work full-time and I use my spare time to do the three things. I get up at 5:00 a.m. and study the Fa between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., except for the time when I send forth righteous thoughts. During my two-hour lunch break I eat and do the fifth exercise. I use about four hours in the evening to make truth clarification materials and share experiences with fellow practitioners. During the hour before midnight I do the four sets of standing exercises, and I sleep after sending forth righteous thoughts at 12:00 a.m. I sleep a little over four hours. I send forth righteous thoughts on the hour about 16 times a day, for five to ten minutes each time.
The outcome was very good after I stayed diligent for a period of time. I can read the Fa very quickly, and the words come out of my mouth even before my eyes recognize them. I feel the divine side of me is studying the Fa. I have also become increasingly clear on the Fa principles and I can understand things from the perspective of the Fa and not only from the perspective of an ordinary person. I have had many wonderful experiences during exercise sessions, and the energy field is very strong. I feel as if everything within my dimension is changing. I feel like a divine being, as the phenomena taking place during the exercises are indeed supernormal, although I can't see anything with my celestial eye. Many physical changes are happening. My skin has become soft and smooth. I look much younger than non-practitioners of my age. I act as a moving truth-clarification flyer because I am a real-life example of the wonders of Dafa. Many people see the beauty of Dafa by witnessing the changes in me, and some have even started practicing. That's why I think we should never slack off on Fa study and doing the exercises.
If we send forth righteous thoughts frequently, our righteous thoughts will become stronger. For two years I have been sending forth righteous thoughts on the hour every hour except during sleeping. When I started doing this, I reminded myself and set aside whatever I was doing to send forth righteous thoughts. Sometimes I simply recited the Fa rectification verse if the situation at the time only allowed me doing that. After one week of intensively sending forth righteous thoughts, it gradually became a habit and I remembered what I should do when the time came. Some time later an automatic mechanism seemed to have formed. When the time comes to send forth righteous thoughts, a part of my body hurts, or a noise comes from nowhere, or my whole body feels uncomfortable, or I feel strong energy currents as I do when I send forth righteous thoughts. I know these are to remind me to send forth righteous thoughts. By sending forth righteous thoughts 16 times a day, I feel very well adjusted and I am very clear on Fa principles. My mind is clear and I do the same thing with half the effort it usually takes. Things run smoothly, as the evil dares not persecute me.
I feel the energy field growing stronger when I send forth righteous thoughts at increasing frequencies. Recently, I feel that I have the power to cause earth-shaking changes in all dimensions that correspond to my area in ordinary society. I disintegrate all evil and I feel like a divine being. In the past I had a lot of fear, but now I am very confident. We are Dafa practitioners, and Teacher and Dafa give us Buddha's divine power. We are gods, and we have abilities far exceeding those of ordinary people.
We are guardians of the universe, so why should we fear the evil? All of the evil's high-tech monitoring systems are nothing before a Buddha's divine power, as our great energy can destroy the order of their particles, rendering them useless. If we always think of ourselves as human beings and don't believe we have this magnificent power, then of course we will be afraid, thinking that the evil regime has political power and the military, along with the whole government's machinery and the mouthpiece media that produces propaganda. Gods do things with their divine powers directed by righteous thoughts. In other words, a god's thoughts become reality. By sending forth righteous thoughts, we will be able to achieve a desirable state.
Teacher said in "Teaching the Fa at the 2004 International Fa Conference in New York,"
"The cosmos in the past was based on selfishness. Let's take man as an example: when it came to crucial moments he truly couldn't care less about others. When I started Fa-rectification, some gods said to me, 'You are the only one who gets involved in others' business.' I know, you find this hard to believe, because you are altruistic beings created by Dafa that have roles in Fa-rectification and that have truly enlightened. If I didn't do that, with the end of history all lives would end. When a being is considerate of others in doing things and displays tolerance in the process, it's because his starting point is selfless."
We, the Dafa practitioners, are created by Master and Dafa. We followed Master to the human world to validate Dafa and save sentient beings. The things that we do benefit others and will bring sentient beings a bright future. This is the purpose and meaning of our existence. All the truth clarification projects we are involved with are based on the premise of offering salvation to sentient beings.
If we do things well, what we do can save people. If we don't do things well, what we do could harm people. We even have to consider our image in ordinary society. If we don't pay attention to our words, actions and manners we will make a bad impression on ordinary people, and this could create difficulties in saving them. Each one of our Dafa particles should have a sense of the whole body. We should be selfless and altruistic, and melt into the Fa. When we do things we should consider the overall effect. We shouldn't act on whims. The salvation of every single being is the result of Master guiding all Dafa practitioners' efforts.
Under Master's benevolent arrangement, several of my colleagues who are also Dafa practitioners work together with me. We established family material production sites. Each practitioner contributes according to his or her circumstances. One practitioner downloads truth clarification materials from the Internet. Another prints flyers and creates VCDs. One practitioner buys raw materials, and one practitioner distributes the flyers. We take care of the whole production process. Because we live close together we visit each other instead of calling on the phone. We don't mind the walk. We pay another visit if the person isn't home. We can read Master's new articles and fellow practitioners' articles on the Minghui website in a timely manner. We often get together and send forth righteous thoughts to help practitioners who are experiencing difficulties. We basically keep up with Master's Fa rectification. After the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was published, we made several hundred VCDs and dozens of booklets, all of which were distributed. Things ran smoothly with Master's benevolent protection. Fellow practitioners and their families and friends published announcements withdrawing from CCP (Chinese Communist Party) related organizations.
Our experience has shown that having a large number of material sites in one area is very beneficial for validating Dafa and saving sentient beings. The mighty power of the Fa is brought into play when we cooperate as a whole body, and we walk righteous paths when we are altruistic and our starting points are selfless.
Repeatedly having studied Master's article "To the European Fa Conference in Stockholm," I feel we must strengthen our divine sides as soon as possible. We should often ask ourselves, "Would a god behave like this?" when considering every thought, every word, and every action we have. When we are lazy and neglect Fa study and the exercises we should ask ourselves, "Would a god behave like this?" Of course the answer is, "No." When we go after quantity and production rate [for truth-clarifying materials], we find in the resultant work illegible words on truth clarification pamphlets, broken bookmarks, or unpackaged VCDs. We should then ask ourselves, "Would a god behave like this?" The answer is "No." When we only want to hear praise and turn red in the face instead of looking inward when fellow practitioners point out our shortcomings we should ask ourselves, "Would a god behave like this?" The answer is clearly "No." When we get frustrated and blame fellow practitioners for making a small mistake on truth-clarifying flyers by saying, "What is this? How can I hand this out?" instead of kindly pointing out the mistake we should ask ourselves, "Would a god behave like this?" The answer is obviously "No." When we get angry at our children and scold them for little things we should ask ourselves, "Would a god behave like this?" The answer is certainly "No." When we sleep at 12:00 a.m. instead of sending forth righteous thoughts, we should ask ourselves, "Would a god behave like this?" The answer is surely "No."
Why is the evil still rampant in certain regions after six years of persecution when the quantity of evil beings has been greatly reduced? One important reason is our thoughts and actions are not quite up to the pure and righteous standard for Fa rectification period Dafa disciples. I think if all of our Dafa practitioners reach the standard of gods, the evil will disintegrate of its own accord.
